Love my new Cool Vanilla Magnum SXE..Truely a head turner. The only thing I find is it is sensitive to the road crown and always veers in either direction.Had it inspected and aligned but they say its the Florida roads. Until they figure out how to fix it, one must put up with it.

Haven't had a car turn my head like the Magnum did in many years. As soon as they came out, I told my wife I'm getting one. I did,and now I'm happy. It not only looks great, it's very versitile. Lots of room to haul stuff, and very comfortable to drive. I also get a lot of compliments about it.

This thing is just a cool car , go with the larger wheel and tire package and get the 5.7L Hemi at whatever cost, you won't be regret it. The Hemi runs as a 4-cylinder on the highway. And it handles excellent, smaller turn radius than you think. The V6's are pretty stout too.

Just the leather package and sunroof on this SXT AWD. At 6000 miles reliability has been good. Found random squeaks that will appear for a while then vanish for a month - one was the rear cargo cover when it was extended. It's a great freeway car, speed control even downshifts to keep the speed constant. In town poor visibility can be a problem for backing up, same as a Pacifica I drove. I'm up to 18 mpg in the suburbs driving gently, get 22 hwy. In hindsight, I would have got the protection group, cloth seats, better radio/speakers. This is a very solid, versitile car for active people. I got it despite the styling, but some of you may like it.

Easy to handle, quiet ride, visual ability excellent. Roomy inside makes shopping a breeze with high hatchback door up high. Very comfortable seating, for 5 people with large leg room in back seat. Adjustable peddle and seats make it easy for myself at 6ft. to drive and for my 5'3 wife to easily change quickly as she drives 90% of the time. Smooth at turns and brakes are excellent. See what winter will bring.

Handling, Power, Style. This car has it all. I bought this car because it had everything I needed to get me to work and to help me to play on the weekends. If you're over 50 like me, you know about rear wheel drive. It really helps with the driving experience. This is not your father's station wagon. I can't tell you how happy I am with this car. WOW.

I have had a problem on slick roads (midwest) with the anti-slip differential. The traction is very poor for this vehicle. I was told Mercedes had the best anti-slip differential on the market and this car would not have any problems. Not true. I don't like the mixture of the shiny chrome and brush interior items and I am disappointed in the passenger side leg room. When I have someone six feet tall and taller they are cramped for knee space with the seat all of the way back. I had a fog light get broken when I hit an animal in the road and to have it fixed cost $260; which I thought was a little extreme.

My previous experience with a V-8 4 door was my husband's Impala SS. We both agree the Magnum is superior across the board. The HEMI rocks, and the suspension handles that power like a dream. I can't believe the acceleration of this car. It's quite comfortable, the stereo is good, and I love the nav system. Styling is outstanding. Every where I go, people stop me and ask me about the car. The few cars that catch me on the highway, slow down to check it out as they go by. Leg room is great in both seats and I still have ample room for cargo in the back. I love blowing the doors off my neighbor's BMW 325I. European performance at American prices.

I bought my R/T Magnum new after driving the 300 and Charger I liked the magnum the best as far as handling. There is nothing I do not like about this car other than they are not making it after 2008. Shame on you Dodge, you never really advertised this car much as it was that was your fault, all things considered it sold well to begin with. Personally I think you should have redesigned it to offer a third seat, watch how it would sell then Dodge Brothers. I would buy another and I just may try an 08.

Over all I love the look and handling of this car. Plenty of room for the grandkids and all their toys, etc. On the highway gets decent gas mileage however, the intown mileage stinks. The price you pay for the HEMI. Main concern is the transmission leaks and the wheel alignments. We've had it to the dealership twice for both issues and were assured that the problem was fixed; 5 months later we have another transmission leak and it already feels like the front end is out of alignment. (We just purchased new tires before the last alignment)Tires are very expensive for this car and they are already showing significant wear without a lot of miles on them.

Smooth, quiet, roomy and comfortable! We traded a Passat wagon for the Magnum, and really feel as if we traded up. the 3.5 liter engine and automatic transmission have ample performance, and the handling and ride are a revelation. Who would have thought that RWD was this good? Lots of space for a growing family, comfortable seating, good storage space and head-turning looks make this a car to be proud of!

This is a great vehicle for the 30 - 40 something guy with a family. Gives you all the performance, luxury, and utility a family man could want. It's definitely a good compromise between performance and luxury. BTW... this is probably not a good daily commuter car since you'll never get the MPG Dodge advertises. Plus you have to buy medium grade fuel (89 or better). All that said, I like the car a lot. It's the best thing on the market now and for 2006.

I love the car! It has left a bit to be desired in the efficiency area, but this is the price you pay for power and a heavy foot. Although i still pay even when the foot isn't so heavy. Living in Brooklyn and commuting to Manhattan takes its toll on you in the wallet at the pump. Oh, and whats up with nowhere to put the gas cap. How stupid is that?

I recieved delivery on the 2005 RT Magnum in early January and have put a couple of thousand miles on the car. The GRIN comes when you step on the accelerater and the 345 horses come alive. What a pleasure being able to pass, enter X-ways, without effort. The suspension and ride qualities of the car make it truly a banker's sports car. The 18" sticky Continental tires and the ESP feature gives me confidence in handling high speed curves. Another GRIN feature is the number of people who comment on the looks of the car. Stop at a light and you will be looked at and probably get a thumbs-up and grin.

My RT has only 1800 miles so far.But so far so good.I have never owned a Dodge and I am still concerned about the longterm reliabilty of this car. However, for now I am very happy with the purchase and like so many others on this site I can't get over how people are breaking their necks to look at this car. After driving the car off the lot there was a problem with a loose upper control arm bolt which the dealer promptly fixed. It also had an alignment problem which the dealership promptly fixed. Now things seem to be working as designed.I am getting about 24 MPG on the Hwy and about 19 in town which for this type of car is good.

Love the styling inside and out. Generous room inside for passengers and cargo. Great RWD chassis, brakes and steering, fun to drive too. Some build quality issues - Choice of plastics inside a bit too cheap looking, also the way some of them fit is a little dissapointing. I have some wind noise issues with the car but overall am very pleased with it. Oh one thing, the dealer network varies from very good to absolutely frustratingly lousy.

I have throughly enjoyed this car. I added a K&N FIPK and Magnaflow mufflers and have been completely satisfied. I can't believe that Dodge quit making them. I'm trying to find a 2008. Wake up Dodge, no wonder you are having problems. MPG is not bad, I can get 26 MPG if I keep my foot out of it. It has a good carrying capacity and also looks good. They have no other vehicle that can compete on this level. If I can't get a 2008 I only know that my next vehicle will not be a Dodge. Get one if you can an enjoy both worlds.

I bought this car for my wife, but we both love to drive it! We haven't had it very long yet, but we are still having that "new car" experience. The handling is amazing for a relatively heavy rear-drive car. Steering is quick and very little effort is required. We especially like the features such as lumbar support for both front seats, power adjustable brake and gas pedals, and a very versatile rear loading configuration. The electronic stability program gives the rear drive a much better feeling of control on slippery surfaces. Braking is outstanding. The drive is smooth and solid, thanks to the 120" wheelbase. We haven't yet assessed the gas mileage, but it seems to be as advertised.

Absolutely the best riding car I have owned or even test driven. I like the fact that it uses supsension from Mercedes, and the ride is proof that it works as advertised. I have only 900 miles on mine so far, and have yet to take a trip with it. Biggest problem withthe car is the attention you get while driving it. People ride alongside of you just to look at it and they won't pass, or they take alot of time in passing you. It's one sweet looking ride.

I have the car with the 250 HP V-6 and it has ample power particularly considering the gas mileage. The car handles well and I have yet to make the tires chirp on a clover leaf even at 60 MPH. I think it is one of the best cars I have ever had. The ride is great and I have driven it for fairly long distances with no driver fatigue or sore spots. The leather seats with heaters are great. The car ride is smooth and quiet. I would reccommend this car to any one.

We rented a base SE and loved it so much we went and bought an RT AWD. The performance is outstanding very smooth and the Auto-stick is a ball for having fun on twisty roads. The ride while tight is very smooth with no intrusive harshness. Just right for long rides on both backroads and the interstate. Fuel economy for a large high power v-8 is outstanding! Love the in your face appearance kinda like a bulldog lovable but don't mess with me. I haven't had this much fun since my '69 Formula 340-S Cuda. Keep your Mustang and assorted generic import Sport Sedans and wannabe sport cars and tuners this is world beating American muscle with panache. "A Velvet Fist"

Great quality improvement for Dodge. Outstanding performance is only mared by poor fuel economy. However, my highway mileage is still a respectable 18MPG. Great car, engineering, features for the money even if you have to pay sticker. Be careful of blind spots on either side. You must use sideview mirrors along with rearview. Hemi power is awesome but still smooth and quiet. Ride quality and quietness at high speed is excellent. Plenty of room to haul stuff and still have a vehicle that handles like a sedan.

Don't be fooled by the "station wagon" description assigned to this beautiful, terrific machine (although we appreciate it, because it no doubt helped with our insurance rates)! The Hemi engine is awesome, and isn't the gas-guzzler you might think. Over the years, we've owned Corvettes and Cadillac Allantes - our Hemi-powered RT gets as good or better gas mileage than they did. We read a review recently that trashed the cruise control system in the RT (mainly its location) which totally amazes me because its location on the steering column is one of the most accessible/handy I've ever used, and it's very easy to manipulate. Go with the RT - I promise you won't be disappointed!

This vechicle is a pleasure to drive and ride in. My husband and I truely love the room and the feel of this car. We are able to use this car to travel in and have the room we need to haul 3 grand sons in and around. The looks we get when we drive the magnum are unbeleiveable. I think the black color is the best out of all the colors. The special feature of the car going into a 4 cylindar at around 50 miles per hour give you a great gas milage for a hemi. We just love it and you will to if you give it a chance. We were an Intrepid owner since 1993 and owned 7 of them, so to go to the magnum was a big step for us but a very great one.

The 3.7l v6 provides ample performance, although if I had the cash I'd have bought the V8--quieter and smoother ride (drove both) but the big v6 is no slouch and its quieter than other vehicles I test drove. The exterior is a head turner. The interior is more than comfortabe witht he leather seats. Despite what the reviews said I didn't find the stereo to be difficult to operate, however the reviewers are on the money when it comes to rear visibility--the wide posts leave wide gaps in your rear view. Overall I love it.

I have been admiring this car from afar since the day I saw it. I was driving a F150 to and from work and as a primary mode of transportation until gas hit 2.15 a gallon. That day I decided that I was not going to put more that ten dollars into my truck and hopefully I could make it to the dealer. I am six foot six so a Honda was not in the running. I sat down in the Magnum adjusted the seat and fell in love. Plenty of leg, knee, shoulder and head room. I decided to get the 2.7 engine instead of the Hemi based on the huge price jump for the Hemi. That was my only let down. Other than that the 2.7 has plenty of get up and go and I can save even more in gas.

All I can say is that you must drive this car to fully appreciate it. I was granted the opportunity to drive a production ready version on a race track under the instruction of a professional driver named John Paul Jr. This car is built like a benz, handles like a BMW, and accelerates like a Viper. This thing is just DAMN fast for a full size wagon. The build quality both inside and out was as good or better than anything I've seen. They claim the body gaps are only .116 inches. I could go on, but it would take days!!!

I've had my Magnum RT nearly 3 months now, and love it. Everyone stares at it and many ask about it and want to know how I like it. It's roomy, gets good mileage for a high performance vehicle, and handles great for it's size. It's a superb replacement for my SUV. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants/needs a vehicle with some room, performance, handling, looks and descent mileage, all at a resonable price. My two thumbs go up for this "sports tourer". I enjoy driving it so much that I get Magnumb!!

My crash test

Three weeks ago, while driving my 2 week-old Magnum, I was sitting, stopped in traffic, on x-way when a Honda SUV rear-ended me at 55-60 mph. It spun me around and into the other lane. The driver's seat was laid back and the damage was so severe that the rear seats were laid forward and would not raise. I could not walk or breathe, and was taken to ER. 5 hours later, I went home with no broken bones, just internal bruising and very sore ribs. The car was totaled. Today I got my 2nd Magnum. I think the weight of the car and good construction saved my life. How's that for a rear-end test crash testimonial? Thanks for making a good strong vehicle.

I cut off the restrister's just in back of the chrome pipes and gaind 35+ more HP! Dynoned mine at 375 HP at rear tires after removing the restricter's. A chip would also be nice, or free flow exhaust. May be even a super charger. Now there's a thought.
