And They Quit Making Them
I have throughly enjoyed this car. I added a K&N FIPK and Magnaflow mufflers and have been completely satisfied. I can't believe that Dodge quit making them. I'm trying to find a 2008. Wake up Dodge, no wonder you are having problems. MPG is not bad, I can get 26 MPG if I keep my foot out of it. It has a good carrying capacity and also looks good. They have no other vehicle that can compete on this level. If I can't get a 2008 I only know that my next vehicle will not be a Dodge. Get one if you can an enjoy both worlds.
My Magnum
I now have 6,500 miles on my new Dodge Magnum RT. I really love the performance of the 5.7 Hemi engine, (Especially with the "Magna-Flow" muffler system). For the size of the engine and the weight of the car, I think the average 18 to 20 MPG I am getting is really awesome. This car handles really well and has a very smooth & quiet highway ride. It is a very roomy "Muscle car" that has the power you need when you need it.
Great car
I wanted this car from the first time I saw it during the Super Bowl ad in 2004. I had to wait 6 months to order it to get AWD, and when I got it, I couldn't believe the performance. This thing runs great. This car has it all, performance, looks, and quality. I haven't had it back to the dealer since I got it. No problems at all.
Wonderful Car!
I have had my eye on this car for quite some time now, and when I got to the dearlership, there was no other car I wanted to look at. We are trying to start a family, and I do not like SUV's or mini vans. The Magnum is the perfect family vehicle and it looks and rides great too!
Love at first sight
I was shopping for a replacement for my '92 Trooper and thought I would have to settle for a so-so small size SUV to get something affordable. I chanced on the Magnum and that was all she wrote. This car has head turning styling and is great fun to drive. The 3.5L engine has plenty of oomph for me and it handles as nimbly as a sportscar. The ride feels like a European touring car. It looks a lot more expensive than it is and I've gotten lots of compliments. Even my teenager thinks it's way cool. My first American car ever - I just love it.
Awesome Car
I love my new Magnum. It has great pick-up and handles like a true sports car. It has a very tight suspension and takes turns with no problem at all.
Visibility
We enjoy the car, but wouldn't recommend it to anyone in the 50+ age range due to visibility. Lane changes are heart-stopping in fast-moving traffic. We added back-up sensors to help with parking. On the positive, our 20ish children have no problem driving it.
Awesome
Lots of room I have the special edition with Bose stereo Power everything moonroof . Would trade only for SRT version

Great car to date, highly recommend.
Love this car
Head turner everywhere you go. Everyone wants to know what it is. Great gas mileage. I had a Dakota 5.2 that I traded in for the blackmag and the Magnum seems to have as much get up and go and looks great doing it
Overall rating
From the sleek curves and body lines to the interior, I don't think you can find a better buy. I bought it for the look. Will drive it for the comfort and how safe I feel behind the wheel. It was money will spent. This is a car I will enjoy driving for years to come.
Magnum RT..a great review
I keep hearing so many bad stories about the magnum rt. to date, I have had a great experience. I've had it for 5 months and have a little under 5,000 miles. yes, I dont drive it everyday to work. its mostly a weekend and holiday car with my wife using it as needed to haul the kids around. so far no complaints. it a great car, with the feel of a luxury Benz feel to it. If problems develope in the future, I will rely on my dealership along with my extened waranty to deal with the problem.
Great car
I have owned this vehicle for about 6 months and I love it. Thank you Chrysler, you hit another homer. This is the fourth chrysler product in a row and I am not dissapointed yet.
We Love it
The little car, which isn't that little handles well in all areas of driving, in town and on the open hiway..Gas mileage is improving at a good rate. We have noticed that in high wind(which Texas has alot of) it does dance a bit, but nothing that I worry about..We love it.
I Buy American
This "sport wagon" brings it. Ive only had it for about a month and love it. Small issue with the air bag that was resolved. There is some vibrating in the panels or exhaust on acceleration but hope to eliminate that. If you're fuel conscious though go for the v- 6. The hemi is a guzzler. When I'm driving like a normal guy I still only average about 13 mpg in the city at best. The stock exhaust is rather quiet for such a beast of a car. Could use a little more growl. Ive found a slew of aftermarket parts so upgrades will be easy and fun. All in all I would recommend this vehicle for anyone interested. If fuel is a factor though u will have to sacrifice the power of the hemi for a v-6 :(
From An SHO to SXT
After two years of trying to decide between an SXT v. an RT we finally made the move. Our SHO was slowly dying and we had to make this decision. After getting a speeding ticket we decided that the RT could become a problem for us. So the SXT won us over. Proformance is equal if not superior to that of the 1993 Taraus SHO. We have had the the SXT for less then a week now and have enjoyed the ride. Take off is there if we want to waste the gas. The seat's fit like gloves and the heated seat's are wonderful if you have a bad back. I can see why this station wagon is in such demand. A bit higher priced then other's but you get what you pay for. Let's see if this will bring us many years of joy
Home run
Dodge hit a home run with this one! Awesome looking and the power to back it up. Going to get myself in trouble with the law with this one. The overall quality and value is the exceptional secondary benefit. It handles so tight and smooth, you forget your really driving a 5 passenger car instead of 2 seat sports car! I have put 750 city miles on it and can't wait to take it on the highway.
Glad I bought it
Bought my Magnum RT in September and have over 6k miles on it as of late November have adveraged just over 19mpg with a low of 16mpg (first tank) and a high of 23mpg. Excellent ride and handling, no problems so far.....The only change I've made so far has been the addition of a flowmaster exhaust system.
Girls like torque too!
My previous experience with a V-8 4 door was my husband's Impala SS. We both agree the Magnum is superior across the board. The HEMI rocks, and the suspension handles that power like a dream. I can't believe the acceleration of this car. It's quite comfortable, the stereo is good, and I love the nav system. Styling is outstanding. Every where I go, people stop me and ask me about the car. The few cars that catch me on the highway, slow down to check it out as they go by. Leg room is great in both seats and I still have ample room for cargo in the back. I love blowing the doors off my neighbor's BMW 325I. European performance at American prices.
I may never have to buy another car!
I have owned my 05 magnum sxt for over 3 months now, it turns heads everywhere. everyday i drive it to work at 90-100+ miles per hour (early morning traffic). it performs awesome. i went with the sxt because i couldnt see paying the money on gas with the RT(V8). i traded in a 99 ford tourus sho that had a v8 in it, and i must have forgot how much father you can go on a full tank of gas with a v6! the tourus i had was fwd and the engine weighed so much, you could bearly squeal the tires. i love the rwd on my magnum, if i turn the ESP off i can have as much fun as i want to, you can squeal the tires easily! i plan on owning this car until the day i die.
Excellent
I plan on keeping my magnum to it just can't go anymore. I get excellent gas mileage (27 MPG on the highway). Thank God I didn't get the Hemi. :) I have over 86,000 miles on it with no major engine problems. I keep up on the maintenance. I love my car.
I love this car
I traded my 05 Bonneville for the 05 Magnum SXT RWD 3.5L. I am 19 and this is the perfect car- it's definitely a sporty college kid car, and I got mine with under 20k miles for under $10k. What a steal! Gas mileage is not bad. I get 21mpg driving around town but I do a lot of interstate driving and i maintain 25-27mpg. Not better than my Bonneville no, but it certainly gets just as good gas mileage as any other car on the road today. I only wish I had a Magnum R/T. I want the dual chrome exhaust with the Hemi!
Reliability Issues
Although I've had many inquiries form people about asking about this vehicle, I hav not been able to recommend it due to reliability issues. This car has been in the shop for numerous, I would characterize as nuisance problems. The AM portion of the radio has gone out on the car twice. The left rear window has gone out twice. The rear hatch has stopped working. The transmission jerks. Even though this car is a great looker, and is very useful, I don't think I will own it very long.
Darn good car
This is one of the best vehicles I ever owned. We live in upstate NY (snow), and with the AWD we have had no trouble getting around. It is very comfortable on long trips, and a lot of room for stuff. Comfort, performance, a real head turner. We plan on keeping it for a long time. My wife just loves it. I have my 4x4 Dakota, but I have no problem driving the Magnum in bad weather. Thanks
Just got my Hemi Magnum!
The car is an eyeful! From every angle you smile when you look at it. I selected the Black Metallic Pearl with every option except the trailer package. My first impression when I saw the car was astonishment with the unique stance and look. For a US carmaker, Dodge has definately outdone themselves. I have waited 18 months for this car to happen, and I am not disappointed. The car drives incredibly well at all speeds. Acceleration from a standing start is not stellar, but the car comes into its own when entering the on ramp, and from 60 to 100.
Dodge Magnum- Top notch quality and fun
In 50 years of driving, I've owned a lot of new cars from all price ranges. This Dodge Magnum exhibits the best overall quality of any vehicle, foreign or domestic, that I have ever purchased. It combines great looks, great performance, and solid quality. I waited for GM to come out with something like this vehicle and they never even came close, so my next new car in a few years will likely be another Dodge Magnum, probably the SRT. With the Magnum, American made cars are again fun to drive.
Back to the Future
I have always loved the Chevy Nomad, and when I first laid eyes on the vechicle, I knew it was build for me. The station wagon 50's look. The feels of nostagia, I get when I'm behind the wheel. This vehicle reminds me of when I was a child. I have always loved wagons. That was the main reason I bought this. Exceptional automobile. Beautiful. Comfortable. Great performance. Test drive this car before your next purchase. You gotta be in it, for it to truely win you over.
Magnum R/T
The R/T handles like my old Trans-Am. The ESP works great without the driver knowing it. The interior is very quiet and standard features available on the R/T are plenty.
Can't get more for under 30K
Wow, what an impressive car. Very European in styling and handling. The cargo functionality is awesome; I can fit anything in the back of that thing. The gas mileage for the Hemi is nice; I got 21 miles/gal on my last fill-up; better than many 6-bangers. People talk to me all the time about the car-at the gas station-store at work-"how's the Magnum?" they ask; like its a member of the family. Hehe
O HEMI..........!
Test drove the RT in May... I was consumed. Read the brochure cover to cover and memorized everything. Factory ordered in June... due to the 300C, Magnum's were backed up. Our dealer traded with a dealer out of Oregon so we could get it in time for our road trip to California! We traded a Ford Windstar for this and the Magnum RT is 10 times more comfortable than it was! My wife is 5'5" & I am 6'2" and we are both are at ease behind the wheel! Merge is no longer a word in our vocabulary!
BAD TO THE BONE
FAST AND BAD THE REAL ROCKY.IT HAS IT ALL THIS CAR REALY TURNS HEADS.
Love My Magnum
I have had the car only two months, but I feel at this time, it may be the best overall car I have owned. The car turns heads with it's unique styling. It is fun to drive, and hauls a lot of stuff.
J RICH
i love this car!
An American Car I Can Love !
Finally I am back driving and loving an American car. The Styling is what brings you to this car, the performance is what keeps you loving it. Minor electical problems had the car back at the dealer in the first week, but all seems well after repair. I love the way this car drives and am delighted to run all the errands. It is a substantial solid and fun machine!
My Pretty Magnum Sure is a Head Turner
My Magnum is one of the prettiest wagons I have ever seen or owned. It handles like a sports car rather than a wagon. Magnum has plenty of power when you call on it and believe me when I say it will run 0-50 in roughly 5 secs. With the ESP feature the Magnum sticks to the road like a road racer, and it is next to impossible to lose control of the car. Like the salesperson who sold it to me said, about the only way you can lose control is if you fall asleep at the wheel.
Fun, fun, fun
Short of a big block hotrod, nothing is more fun to drive than the Magnum RT. It's fast & corners well. But the main thing is it looks cool going anywhere, even to fill it up with groceries. I have never owned or even seen a car that everyone, from 17 year old guys to 60 year old ladies, love. I bought it for my wife, but I can't stop driving it.
Awesome
I love driving this car more everyday! I needed something with lots of room to carry my gear, but still something sporty. One friend of mine says "This car reeks of German ingenuity" I feel like I'm driving a Mercedes at a Dodge price.
Love my Magnum!
When the Magnum was released it was a true dream car that was affordable for me. The looks, roominess and sticker price drew me in. This sporty wagon is head and shoulders above my old '96 Intrepid. Interior is clean looking, the console is very practical and once driving the car you can 'feel' the 'Mercedesness' coming through, which I like! The engine compartment is very tidy and everything a consumer needs to access is easy to find. Passengers in the backseat will enjoy the roominess and the back window goes all the way down! I'm satisfied with the 3.5L engine's performance and the 4-wheel disc breaks do a great job of stopping this heavy car! A true value in today's market.
Best Damn Car, Period!
Without a question, this new vehicle is stout! Handles like a dream and corners without stressing. My family loves the room and utility. Dodge scores BIG with this one!
Wonderful
I had gotten into an accident and had to replace my Concorde. I did not want to, but my new Magnum is great. It has been more comfortable and it has been a lot of fun to drive. I have the navigation system in it and you will never get lost.
my magnum
Ive had this car about a month now and I find driving to be a real pleasure again. This car is fun and easy to drive, with plenty of power when needed and also great gas mileage for it being a muscle car. There is plenty of storage in the rear and there is plenty of leg and head room. Im 6ft. 4inches and I have no problem whatsoever with head and leg room. I think this car is the ultimate in practicality combined with a beautiful design. I get the thumbs up sign wherever I go. I highly recommend this vehicle for the shear pleasure of driving!!!
MAGNUM... What wagons were meant to be!
I just bought my Magnum 2 months ago and I absolutely love it. The body design is amazing. I love the hard edges and lines throughout the vehicle, and it carries over to the inside with the same style that looks simple and not so flashy, but also captivating at the same time. Everything is laid out perfectly on the interior. From the way the guages are set up, to the radio and AC controls. The simple accents of chome along the inside make it work so well. The car drives amazingly, to say the least. I purchased the 3.5 ltr SXT and must say that it is enough power under the hood to satisfy me completly. The car rides so smooth it is almost unbelievable that it is not a whole lot more expensive.
Honey, Can I drive it now????
We replaced a 1995 BMW 525i with our RT. My wife couldn't bring herself to calling it a "Dodge" after owning a BMW. Now I can't get her out of it. She won't let me have it. Performance rivals my 95 Trans Am with LT1. Incredible ride, handling, power and the best stereo I've ever heard in a car. Comments from people never stop.Get the HEMI. Worth every penny.
Magnum Rocks
Use the seat belt, you'll need it. One awesome powerhouse. And still mid 20's for economy when you need it.
Get outta that minivan!
There is no American built car that can compare to the new Dodge Magnum. You can find a faster car, a better handling car, and a more utilitarian SUV or minivan, but looks and comfort is second to none. What I found so appealing is the ability of one car to do so many things so well. I love to drive the car, use cruise control because it's easy to catch yourself going way to fast. The handling is very predictible and safe, but forget about rain and snow. I believe a good set of snow tires would remedy that, but currently no snow tires are offered in that model, so I ended up buying another car for winter driving.
MAG--05
This car is a beauty and fun to drive. I have the V-6 and I have no problem with acceleration when someone is too close. I have had more women ask me about my car than men. I tell them it is just great!
Wish I had all wheel drive.
This is a great car and lots of fun to drive. Gives a super smooth ride with really nice handeling qualities. Great acceleration as well. The only negatives are the Continental Touring tires the car came equipped with. Real junk, only got 14,000 miles out of them. The only compensation the dealer offered me was to get a 25% discount on the same tires! The only other negative is this car is terrible in the snow. Just a few weeks after I bought this car they came out with all wheel drive! If the dealer had told me this I would have waited a few weeks and bought the all wheel. All in all a really nice though.
Our Next Car Will Also Be A Magnum
After a year and a half, we are still getting looks and favorable comments.Driving is still a lot of fun and comfortable. On three different occasions I had driven for ten or more hours at one stretch (stopped for gas of course)and felt great. It's been the most reliable car I have ever owned in my thirty two years of driving. The overall experience has been great and we'll buy another one.
Dodge Magnum Doesn't Disappoint!
I have enjoyed every minute driving this car! I can't say enough about the performance of the 5.7 litre Hemi engine. The interior fit and finish is excellent with no 'squeaks and rattles' inside. Road noise is also kept to a minimum. If you are sitting on the fence - GET OFF AND GO BUY ONE! You will not be disappointed!
3000 Miles in a Hemi AT
We have had our Magnum about two months now...no problems...gas mileage is improving...to 20mpg highway at 75 if I stay off the Hemi... :) Our only concern is an occasional popping sound in the sunroof when the vehicle body torques. Awesome in a blizzard, better traction and control than my 4 wheel drive truck. The steering is different than any other vehicle we have had, doesn't seem to pull in either direction..just a little more pressure required than usual to steer. Could be because its an AWD. Been waiting for a "stop light jockey" to take me on but they all seem to look over, see the word Hemi on the fender and then pretend to be model drivers... :) Love the car!
