Magnum Keeps on Rolling

2005 Dodge Magnum SXT AWD 4dr Wagon (3.5L 6cyl 5A)

My All Wheel Drive V6 Magnum SXT is coming up on 59,000 miles and has averaged over 21 mpg. It accelerates like a small V8 (with no wheel spin) and goes through rain, snow and anything else on my 45 mile one way commute. Tracking is excellent--and improved with my only major expense, a new set of Goodyear Comfortred tires at 34,000 miles replacing the original Continentals (which quickly cupped and wore and provided a rough ride). My only other expenses have been oil changes and turning the two front brake rotors at 49,000 miles to eliminate a minor shudder when braking. This is a great car pool vehicle, with plenty of seating and storage room for everyone.

Wow ! I never thought I would see station wagons come back, and certainly not like this. The styling, the handling, the power; all amazing. I got the SXT with AWD and it really handles so wonderfully, you'd think you were driving the Daimler car that they took the 3.5L engine out of - the ride, the feel, the overall quality of this Dodge is more than the sum of its parts.

When I traded in my Grand Cherokee I thought I would miss it, WRONG!! I love the Magnum. The 3.5 provides plenty of power and sounds great. It handles like a dream and is comfortable. I have 3 kids and it has the room I need more than the Jeep did! The kids have a ton of leg room and I feel safer. The gas mileage I get averages 24 mpg around the city and 29 on interstate. The a/c cools it down quick when we were at the beach in 115 degree weather. It has the pickup you need to get on the interstate or to pass. Did I say it was FUN to drive? LOVE IT, I hate mini vans and this is the perfect alternative to a SUV & Minivan. Not only in performance and roominess but in fuel economy. BUY ONE!!

Great Car. Bought new in '05 and have had no problems. Outstanding performance with 340 HP and 390 tourque. Car still gets attention and favorable comments. Most surprising is gas mileage with MDS. Average MPG for life of vehicle is 20+.

Too Early to Tell

The design and performance are all they were professed to be. The mileage is what you'd expect with a thirsty Hemi. Interior quality is a disappointment with plastic appointments. Interior visual field is a definite weakness with door columns and small rear window limiting. None the less, I love it. It's a great driving machine.
