Used 1999 Chevrolet Lumina LTZ 4dr Sedan Consumer Reviews
Lumina LTZ is a best buy
I bought this car for $200 under invoice with 6 miles on the odometer and have enjoyed every mile I put on it since. This car outperforms many cars priced $10K higher... if people didn't have to compensate for their shortcomings with a "name-brand" car, they would save a lot of money! When looking to buy a new car, I researched engines and found that the 3.8 L V6 was highly thought of and I now know why - it is a blast to drive and very reliable. This car has made me a GM customer for life.
Inexpensive Fun
I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who wants a fun car to drive at a moderate price. The 3.8 V-6 is plenty of power and the interior is chock full of features. I paid $6000 for a '99 w/ 80,000 miles on it. High miles, but have only had to replace the alternator and it has 102,000 miles now. I did routine maintenance (plugs, wires, fuel filter, serpentine belt, etc), but that' all just normal

LTZ'S ARE FUN AND FAST TO DRIVE!
I HAD A WHITE 98 LTZ WITH 37000 MILES, UNTIL SOME PUNK TOTALED IT! SO I GOT THE 99 LTZ! THIS CAR IS TROUBLE FREE, YOU CAN RELY ON THE CAR, VERY FAST AND WITH A GREAT RIDE. WHY BUY A GT OR GTP GRAND PRIX!?! WHEN THE LTZ IS FASTER THEN THE GT AND IS EQUAL TO THE GTP! I WOULD BUY ANOTHER 98 OR 99 LTZ.
Great for a to b
I inhearited my Lumina from my mom. She had the car since 02. Really I have seen no mechanical problems. I'm a delivery driver in college and the gas mileage will suprise you. It's not flashy but it will get you from a to b pretty well. One thing I do have a problem with is there is only one cupholder. All in all if given the chance I think I might get another one
The Best Car of My Life
The most comfortable, reliable car I have ever had. It was totaled in a car accident when somebody ran a red light and slammed into me. Otherwise I would still have my baby...It was big, smooth, powerful (!!!) AND fuel efficient. All pros and no cons!
