Will Be Sorely Missed
My dad bought this car for me in high school and I have had the best times in it. It has an awesome V6 engine that beats all the little Ford Escorts on the freeway. Not very pretty to look at, especially the front, but it has a nice red color that looks great in the sunlight. The only problem I'd say is the rear right brake, which tends to rub against the wheel on long long road trips and cause a stink. The brakes aren't as reactive as many cars, but they do work fine. The interior is hideous (the ceiling is falling in and there are many stains on the back floor), but the upside to the interior is that it is very roomy so if you're transporting tall people they can stretch out their legs.
Not Bad
My family purchased the car used in 1994. Since then, the Lumina has been a pretty good car. It now has around 75000 miles. The 3.1 engine is still strong. The speedometer only goes to 85, but it can probably do 105-110. We have recently had to replace: struts, a computer chip, part of the torque converter, etc. The drivers seatbelt recently broke, but I was amazed to hear that it would be under warranty. I really like the car because of its dependability.

Lumina-tor
This car has been with my fire chief since it was brand new, I'm a volunteer firefighter. Once i turned 14, I'm 18 now, he sold it to me for $750 with 145k miles. It has 230k now i love it, i take care of it i expect it to last another maybe 100k. It's very reliable, don't like the gas mileage that much and the interior but that's about it. Handles great, looks great, drives great, everything! Also one of a kind white with tinted windows, and flames on it! Not the best flames but hey, $300 job!
Perfect 1st car
I got this car a year ago and it hasnt failed me since. Paint job is in excelent condition, ride is smooth and comfortable, excelleration and over all drive is great. The breaks are a little weak but everything else checks out great. This was my first car and I love it.
1993 Lumina Euro 3.4
My Lumina now has 102,000 miles on it, the only problems experienced was the serpentine belt failing and the timing belt breaking. I have had 26 MPG highway and 20 city. The car is an excellent automobile, I just can see myself trading it in or selling it. It has the 3.4 engine which is trouble free, I do take it in every 3,000 for total lubes so the car uses no oil. The suspension is tight and so far the exhaust system is still fine. I do wish it came standard with beverage holders but that is a small need. Love it.
overall a good car
she's been good to me.....bought her last august....no problems until recently...the rear brakes started to grind horribly. got those replaced, and then the fuel pump went just out today. i still see a lot of these cars on the road and i think that mone will be around for years to come.
OK Don't LUV it
Typical heavy domestic car ride not bad though. Roomy. Typical Chevy interior, rattles too much cheap plastic. Not solid but competent ride. Good engine (3.1 V6), good acceleration.
PREPARE FOR REPAIRS
This veh drives smooth, when it wants to. From my experience if it's not one thing it's another. So far I've probably invested over 2.5k in repairs here and there. If you're buying this vehicle used make sure that the previous owners were kind to it. Any small lack of maintenance will really affect it's performance. I've had problems with the power windows, radiator core, cooling system, a bunch of electrical problems. It's kinda gotten to a point where I expect it to leave me stranded any day now. It was an expensive "in the meantime" car.
One of the worst enginered cars
Mine died at around 75K miles. The transmission slipped, the heads warpped, and boom, the whole thing froze. All in all, it was a basic car, nothing ever troubled me except the brakes, which were entirely replaced 4 times. The rotor design was so poor that I managed to break the rotor from the spindle and that is very rare.
Great Car for the Money!
We bought this car new in 94, it has been a great car but recently got rid of it to get a two door. We put 98K great miles on it. We had minor repiars thoughout the life on the car. We had to replace the water pump which was something that always goes wrong with GM cars, nothing new, great ride, great handling, good gas mileage, pants is excellent ours was torch red, car held up great, not a dot or rust, 3.1 Liter engine is great. Never buy a GM 3.4 Liter engine sucked on this car.
