A beautiful nightmare

I was so excited to get into this car and have a safe drive for me and my boys. Unfortunately it’s been an absolute nightmare. I was engaged with the bells and whistles, reasonable gas mileage and affordable payment but unfortunately the car is just (literally) falling apart. From windows that won’t won’t stay up to car paneling that continually pops off on its own (which I’m told is a factory error) my frustration level is through the roof. I’ve also experienced a very strange heavy clicking that can be felt through the gas pedals but since the Chevy mechanics don’t experience it on their test drives I’m told nothing is wrong. Now I’m experiencing blinker issues and issues with the air system. So (once again) the car is going back to the shop. There have also been strange jolts when accelerating or coming to a stop. I can’t wait until our lease is up so that I can walk away from Chevy for good. Please be cautious with this year, make and model.

This is our third Equinox. Obviously, we have been very happy with our prior two. I think this vehicle is somewhat smoother and quieter than the 2018. The ride is very smooth. My wife thinks it is larger, but it must be an illusion. We are very satisfied so far and would recommend it to anyone.

I love its handling, instrument layout and simplicity, mileage, sound level, and comfortable seats. Plenty of room, too. More acceleration than I need, great braking, love the Automatic Start shut-off button! Too bad this is the last year model for gasoline engines... would have bought another one when this one wears out.
