Don't do it!
First of all I would have never bought this vehicle had I known it had an auto stop feature! What in the world was chevrolet thinking? When I test drove the car I didn't notice it and my salesman "forgot" to mention that this vehicle had this feature that you can not turn off!!! I do not feel safe in this vehicle because when it cuts off at a stop sign or whenever you have to stop there is a moment of hesitation before the car starts back up. And I'm sure the engine cutting on and off is alot of wear and tear on the motor! Oh and the gas mileage, give me a break! What was chevrolet thinking once again about making such a small gas tank! I actually owned a 2013 equinox before I traded it in which I liked and purchased the 2018. If I had it to do all over again I would have kept my 2013 equinox that I could go almost a full 7 days on a tank of gas!!! In the 2018 I am at the gas station every 3 days!!! But I guess when you go from a 17 gallon gas tank to a less than 12 gallon gas tank that's what you get! Oh and I also hear a thumping noise in the rear end but I took it to the dealership I bought it from and they swear they don't hear anything! Well, they must not be able to hear well because even my kids ask what that thumping noise is in the back! You can hear it over the radio!! Also why in the world would you put a pump handle on a seat to lower it up or down instead of motorized, it is so cheap! I literally laugh everytime I have to pump the seat up or down to adjust it! Anyway, needless to say I am so very disappointed! I will be driving this vehicle for a short time and trading just as soon as I can! I have read some of the reviews from others and I'm glad I'm not the only one that is having these issues!

Love my equinox.
I have owned this car for about 3 months now. I love it. Before this I had a 2009 Toyota Corolla and this was my first new SUV purchased. I wanted a safe, new SUV but didn’t want to spend the cash for a more expensive vehicle like the CRV or RAV 4. I love all the tech included in this car even with the base model. Keyless entry, push button start, back up camera, WiFi, on star, apple car play, etc. most of the competitors for similar sized SUVS don’t include all these features at the same price point. I also find the vehicle to be very comfortable and spacious. Another added bonus is the rear AC vents for the back seat, which is great for those of us frequently transporting sweaty kiddos in the back. Handling and driving is excellent. No issues with braking, steering or acceleration even at high speeds. Truly a pleasure to drive. It’s too soon to gauge reliability but no issues so far. I definitely love my Chevy and would recommend to others looking for a well loaded, comfortable SUV on a tighter budget.

Prefer my older equinox
The interior seems so cheap. Plastic everywhere. Seat are hard. I don't like the automatic door locks. Half the time the doors won't open when you push the little silver buttons. It is annoying to always hear the horn honk when you walk away. I don't like the engine shutting off at lights. I wish I had a cd player in it. The bluetooth only works about half the time. I was so disappointed when I found out that I could not get XM radio in my base model. We were so much happier in our 2014 and 2007 models. This will be our last equinox.

No more for me.
Sad to say after owning two Equinoxes I wont own a 3rd. Test drove a 2018 and loved everything about it except for the front seats. Deal killer for me, too small a seat base, they are stiff and this wrap around thing they do on the left and right side of your body packs you in. What a blunder as im 5'10 and 175 pounds and feel like im squished in a tiny cheap car.
