My Cavalier
I love my Cavalier. It looks so good on the outside. The inside is just as great because it's comfortable.
So Great I Bought It Twice
My vehile was flooded during Hurricaine Charly. So I went out and bought a new Chevy Cav.

2004 Chevrolet Cavalier
This is our 4th Cavalier. Obviously, we are very happy with them.
best car i've ever owned
This is the 3rd cavalier I've owned, and I love it. It has a smooth ride, accelerates quickly, and looks great. I have a yellow cavalier, and so many people ask me about my car. It's sporty and drives like a dream.
I love my car!
I bought my 04 cavalier about 2 months ago. I couldnt be happier with it! I have always liked the cavaliers. I will never own anything but a chevy! If you buy a cavalier be prepared to be amazed!
Good Car
This car was a great price, it's reliable, dependable and is just what I needed for a college freshman son.
Stay out of the wind
I bought the 2004 Cavalier strictly as an economical "drive to work" car. I liked the low price with the rebates and the looks aren't bad. However, when on the highway if there is any cross wind you can't keep it on the road. It will change lanes by itself if you don't pay close attention. Also, what 1950's design engineer came up with the bright idea of using a cartridge oil filter instead of the spin on type? I can see why the 2005 model is the last year for Cavalier.
WORTH IT
FUN TO DRIVE,VERY FUEL EFFICIENT...HANDLES THE CURVES VERY EASY.THE CAR COMES WITH A LOT OF FEATURES THAT MOST CARS WOULD CHARGE EXTRA FOR...EVEN THOUGH I OWN THE MOST BASIC MODEL AND I DO NOT HAVE POWER LOCKS OR WINDOWS
Best car for the money!!
Best car I have owned to date, very reliable! Can't wait to drive it again!!
2004 5 Speed Coupe
Awesome engine and trans. The base Civic 5 speed I tested had anemic acceleration compared to the base Cavalier. The Cavalier sticks to the road very well with an acceptable ride quality. The BASE stereo with CD rocks! I also own a '93 Cavalier 4 door with 223,000 miles which is still very dependable(only unscheduled maint.was a set of fuel injectors), and another '04 Cavalier this is my wife's car which is an automatic with 24,000 trouble free miles. My "other car" is a '96 Caprice with 178,000 miles. I am very impressed by the amount of car Chevrolet offers for $10k. Based on the price, mileage, and reliability I have received I can personally say the imports don't impress me at all.
Great bang for the buck
I purchased this car for a short commute to work, however I have taken it on vacation, and it performed quite well. Sometimes I think the high- falutin car critics, are just a bit too critical of American cars. My Cavalier is reliable, peppy, and a good looking car. I'm happy with it, and I don't care what anyone else says. My next vehicle will probably be a Chevrolet.
A Good Value to Date
I purchased my Cavalier new in 2004. I felt the GM discount price incentive was too good to pass up. I used part of the discount to purchase 160,000 km powertrain warranty. I now have 30,000 kms on the car, have had no problems and am quite satisfied with my purchase for the money.
the best fuel ecomony car
I think this car is a good little car. I have no problems with the car. In town I get 25 - 27 mpg and on the highway I get 34 miles to a gallon. The gas tank takes 25 dollars to fill it from empty when gas price is $2.15 a gallon.
My Cav
Love the pep and handling. Only problem is the slave cylinder for the clutch went out. WhenI took it to Chevrolet for repair, I had to wait a day because they were waiting on parts for another 2004 with the same problem.
2004 Coupe Auto
This is the third Cavalier we've had in the family. It is a great car, economical, comfortable, with all the features I need. You can buy them at a great price, too. So far, like my other Cavaliers, this one has been reliable and has returned a steady 31 MPG driving about 70% highway miles. Too bad Chevy doesn't make them anymore. The Cobalt is a nice car but costs more.
My '04 Cavi
This hasn't been too bad of a car. Although, I dont think I get the mileage others do. The best I have gotten is 29 mpg on the interstate. I have had it in the shop 5 times for front end noise in less than a year. But I like the style, and for a 2.2 it has decent power.
Love my Cavalier
Bought this car new in 2004. Love the economy and performance-even for a 4 cyl. Never had a problem until about 5 months ago, the ignition coil went out suddenly. Other than that, no problems, no complaints. Love my Chevy!
Bang for your buck
Sporty looking, good car for a cheap price. Cheap and easy to maintain. Sound system is nice with Mp3 and XM. Slave cylinder went at 45,000k, but pretty good overall. Tops out at 107, so it's pretty fast
A Couple of Problems
I have had my car for about 2 1/2 years, its been pretty dependable for the price, but I have had some issues with the gauges. My RPM gauge stopped working first, followed by my fuel gauge, and now my speedometer is starting to work on-and-off like the others did before they stopped working. I haven't bothered to get them fixed because I'm about to trade it in, but I wasn't too happy about that. However, it's a great starter car.
Disappointed
I bought this car in a hurry because my last vehicle was totaled in an accident, and I needed something to get back and forth to work. I've always heard how "great" Cavaliers were so I took a chance on a GM car. Never again! Everytime I turn around the "service" or "check engine" light is on. The car has only 40,000 miles on it and I've spent thousands on things that I don't think should've gone out already. Oh well, I guess it's back to buying an import.
My Chevy Cavalier
My car got great gas mileage. It did ok in snow and mud. When I got 69,000 miles my car was making noises when I started it. It was my lower motor knocking, to mechanics it made no sense it was a flexplate and overhaul on my motor. So my conclusion is they do good until 69,000 miles.
My first Car
I'm 16 years old and this is my first car, We bought it with 77k miles on it and it now has 80k, The only repairs we had to do were basic things like replacing the fluids, oil filter, oil, and a new battery, but other than that its had no major problems. The paint is rather cheap and chips easily, and the interiors plastic is cheap and the fabric is thin, however if you take car of it everything shouldn't crap out on you. My dash cracked and my engine light comes on when there is no problem, the car can be noisy at times, and my CD player broke, but I have to say there are no major problems. I like the sleek sporty design of the car.
Our Baby
My husband and I have had our Cavalier only a few months and have been very pleased with it. It is very fun to drive and we love the way it looks. We have read the other reviews and do not agree with everything that is said about the Cavalier. With todays gas prices it is a very economical car.
Michael Pauls quest with my just boughten 04 cav.

Great car for all
My wife And I purchased this car during a snowy wet cold Tuesday night in January. We (and about 5 salesmen) were the only people in the dealership. Bottom line, we stole this gem for around $8900.00 +tax. We had rebates and a $2000.00 coupon. The car is great on gas, 30mpg. We use it for work and a back-up. The interior is a little cramped when all 4 of us are in it. It looks just as good as the day we bought it . We garage it and are meticulous with the care of it. The front would shake during stopping and the wheel covers were squeaking. A quick trip to the dealer to cut the rotors and grease the contact points of were the rubber bumpers contacted the metal and we were good to go.
great car for the money
I really like the car.the power i get from a 2.2L engine is amazing.my friend owns a 1997 with 4 kids which still is in great shape, turning me toward the cavalier.I would recoment this car to anyone wanting a semi-sporty car with a limited budget.
Chevy show off
When I first saw the car I was not to impress but once I got a chance to drive it I knew I would buy it. It is fun to drive, comfortable to get in and out and has good style on the inside. The instrument cluster is set up to be easy to view and to get to.
Cavalier
I don't agree with the negative consumer reports review on this vehicle. We helped our son get a 2003 Cavalier with 16 alloy wheels, power windows, doors, keyless entry and great sound system- It is sleek looking, great on gas mileage, and the engine ((the only thing reviewed positively) is fun to drive.
I love this car
This car is really a great car. I get alot of complaments. Everybody loves my car Old and young. My 2004 Cavalier is very good on the highway and city. I love this car.
Road Tripper
Bought with $4K rebate in April. Put on Dunlop A2 Sport tires. Drove to Dallas from Phoenix. 75MPH+ at 35MPG+. Thin paint on inside of bottom of Passenger door. Otherwise, perfect. Less than an hour at the dealer ...
Good Buy
I like how the car drives. Just breaking it in so for now fuel economy sucks but it will get better gettin about 28 on the highway 20 in the city rated for 26/37 but it will go up. No regrets about getting the stick. Only thing I miss about the Saturn I traded in is the remote keyless. This isnt a big deal with this car since its only 2 doors
I love it
It is a great car for the price and it is quick and small so you get places fast

LUV MY CAV!
It's been a very dependable car.
Good Decision
My husband and I just bought the car earlier this month but we researched it a lot prior to buying it and test drove many cars before making our decision. So far I am really enjoying it and we are very pleased with it.
