Used 2003 BMW 3 Series 325i Rwd 4dr Sedan (2.5L 6cyl 5M) Consumer Reviews
Keep your Asian import
I was so excited to get my new 325. Love the handling, comfort, smooth transmission........until the problems started. With less than 10,000 miles I had to replace a fuel injector, and one of the passenger side power mirror stopped operating. Now with 23,000 miles I just had to replace an oxygen sensor. Oh and I almost forgot to mention the manufacturer recall (6,000 miles) for another computer related problem. I will definitely sell this car before the warranty runs out and would advise against purchasing a BMW. It's back to relability of Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus for me!!
BMW 325I Review
Though I have only had the car one week, the 'fun-to-drive thing' is back for this 52-yr old. Too bad it took so long. I have no reliability history but so far I have not one complaint.

Disappointment
In 8 months I had 3 recalls. Recently transmission started having problmes. HK stereo system is very bad. One of the speakers just started to be very distored. Overall: my first and LAST BMW.
Too many issues
Transmission needed to be replaced at 17,000 miles (apparently an issue BMW is trying to hide on the 2003), mildew smell from AC (BMW actually told me its cars aren't made for humid conditions since it's not humid in Germany), and had to be towed in to dealership 3 times in first year for a variety of what BMW called "little" issues.
Fun to drive but worth the hassle?
I've had this car for a month and already two sensors failed which meant two trips back to the dealer, thus many days of not having the car. When working properly, it is a great car to drive -- really fun. The repairs were done without charge to me but the hassle of making an appt. and taking it to the dealer is a drag. Plus, I am now wondering what else might go wrong.
