The 2026 Audi S E-tron GT is the entry point to the brand's line of all-electric sport sedans, slotting beneath the hotter RS E-tron GT. This low-slung four-door has a coupe-like roofline that flows into a conventional trunk instead of a rear hatch. Mechanically, it's closely related to Porsche's Taycan. The S E-tron GT comes standard with dual-motor all-wheel drive and 670 horsepower (when launch control is engaged), meaning you'll never be left wanting when you need your fix for speed. Range is less impressive than what some of its rivals offer, but it's still usable at up to an EPA-estimated 300 miles.

Despite being the entry-level model, the S E-tron GT delivers performance that few other sedans can match. Acceleration is near instantaneous, and handling, thanks to its all-wheel drive, adaptive air suspension and new standard four-wheel steering, is sharp and confidence-inspiring. The S E-tron GT also looks sleeker than most other electric performance sedans, though those good looks come at a price. The rear seats are tight on legroom and headroom and are really best suited for two passengers despite having a middle seat. The trunk is also on the small side, offering just 9.2 cubic feet of space.

The Audi S E-tron GT competes with other premium all-electric sedans on the market. The Porsche Taycan is less powerful in base form, but it can far exceed the Audi's performance once you get into the higher trim levels. The Tesla Model S, though based on an older design, offers similar horsepower but significantly more range. Other options that are more luxury-oriented include the Lucid Air, BMW i7 and Mercedes-Benz EQS.
