Always drove body on frame suvs in past, but so far love the Q7. Excellent comfort and performance. Lack of storage in console and wind buffeting with windows down are two minor complaints. Updated after 3 years and 35k miles - no complaints. Performed very well in snow last winter even in 10” snow storm where I took it to the local high school parking lot and tried my best to get it stuck with no luck. It handled that amount like a champ. Took on several ski trips and it handled snow covered interstate highways equally well as it did with snow covered roads close to the resort. Overall, extremely pleased!!

New 2018 AUDI Q7 Computer breaks down in 100 miles

I leased a new Audi 2018 Q7 from Audi Manhattan and the computer conked off after the first 100 miles drive. We were told that there was a hardware problem. I asked for a replacement of the vehicle and they passed me on to Audi corporate. Audi Corporate said that they would resolve and call me back in a week. I had to call them today and they now passed me onto Audi Leasing company. I am still waiting for a resolution from them.

Console, what console?

The Q7 had an amazing, quiet ride and great handling. I chose not to purchase the vehicle simply because of the interior design. The console and cup holders are extremely small and the dash interface is not touchscreen, which seemed to take too much attention away from the road. The large center hump in the 2nd seat row floor space was also a deterrent - making it feel like an SUV fit for 4. (The 3rd row seat would be good for a couple small children - not different from the other 3 row mid-size SUV’s we looked at.)

Good as a rental not a buy!

I waited a year into the remodel of the Q7 and was excited to own my first Audi. The excitement is over and I am ready to turn in my Q7 for something else. The space was good for a 7 seater not having the large footprint of an Escalade or Mercedes G series. The turbo 6 performs well with multiple occupants and cargo. The technology takes some getting used to, as it constantly changes bluetooth connections between phones even though the main paired phone is actively playing music. The biggest gripe has to be the amount of oil I have had to add to this car over the 2+ years of driving it. The system seems to ask for a quart of oil every 3 months or so. I am a low volume equal city/highway driver with less than 25k miles on the vehicle. The seats are extremely comfy and the ride is smooth even on rough surfaces. Coming from a BMW X6 I appreciated the additional space, but the German cars all seem to have technical issues that take away from the overall cars looks and aesthetics.

Had issues with 1) squeaky steering. Took it into Audi 7 times and NOT fixed. 2) computer system had to be changed 2 times 3) Audi extended warranty is difficult to work with. Will not cover anything w/o a legal fight. 4) tire wear is horrible. I am told that 20K miles is normal for such a heavy car in FL. 5) Audi WPB is useless. They are not a good service Dept.
