The New 8...
Beautiful car that is so good that it's faults stand out more than they otherwise would. I love a big ride, but this one is so large that Parktronic should be standard... almost impossible to park in tight quarters without it (or without playing bumper cars). DO NOT BUY WITHOUT IT, despite its over-sensativity or your assumption that you can park a car without a computer (that's me!)
This car is the best car ever!!!

really sorry BMW
Great handling car with the looks to match. Very quiet and a great handling car. I did not like the 19 inch wheels because the car was more noisy and did not travel the road very well. However the 18 inch all season tires are better matched for my climate and driving. Also the CD player quit after 2 days, but it is replaced. The sound system is good in urban areas however the reception in rural areas is not as good as my old 98 A8 or my Town and Country.
Good Techology, terrible phone system
I immediately recognized the technology advances over BMW and Mercedes. Buyers need to beware of Motorola V60 phone functionality. It does not work with the onboard MMI system and is basically a glorified hands free kit (effectively USD 1,000) for no added value. Voice activation is approximate at best and does not work when raining Suprisingly, none of the professional reviewers noticed that the phone system is archaic and a real problem. The Mercedes S class do have numbers that upload to the onboard computer. Another issue to be careful with is the choice of wheel rims. I have the 19" with sport tires which account for a very bumpy ride.
The best of the competition
Nearly perfect in every way.
