I drove everything in the class; Q45, Very solid feel to the car. Have not had the need to truly work out the Quattro but it is nice to know it is 745,S500,LS430,XJR and the A8L won out with combination of performance, looks, roominess and value for the dollar. The 4 year maintenance included helped make the decision as well. My vehicle was ordered with convenience, cold weather, parktronic (a must)and 19" wheels. Much has been made of the harsh ride with the 19" wheels. I have not experienced a problem. Given their excellent look, I can deal with any minor lack of ride comfort.

Picked up new 2004 A8L recently - with trepidation after reading about problems/bad reviews surrounding acceleration, brakes, and electrical (battery life) systems. After 200 mile run - absolutely no problems - nada. A real all around pleasure - from both comfort and fun to drive perspectives. Actually this is the real luxury alternative to a SUV - lots or room, 4wheelDrive, trunk space forever, and adj. air suspension. My 14 year old daughter in the back-seat loves it. A huge move up from my 2001 BMW 330ci. And big brother to my Jeep Cherokee Overland.

This car was the gift from a lifetime of hard work to myself. It is a mechanical masterpiece, gorgeous and so comfortable. I live in my car, so it was important to have one that was spectacular inside as well as out. 2 notes, the Onstar system included saved my life in November, 2005, literally. I went into anaphylactic shock while driving, they were spectacular...every car should have this without exception. Second, I park in valet every week wherever my travels take me and without exception, a comment is made from them about how beautiful this car is... I take that as a great compliment to me and the car! Thank you for my "Lilly".

My 2004 Audi A8L is an outstanding sports sedan. I love the quattro in the rain. It is an outstanding highway cruiser. There is limo-like room in the back.
