Lags 1-2 seconds intermittently from a stop. Took delivery in June and have reported the issue times since then to both the dealership and Acura. Have almost been in several accidents when making a left turn from a stop because of the delay. Dealership says there is no issue and “it’s just the way it’s supposed to run.” Driver beware!

I upgraded from a Honda Pilot Elite AWD to this Acura MDX AWD. The upgrade is noticeable and wonderful. I really like the HUD, flexible outside mirrors, cooling seats, the fact that when I restart the engine, the previously set ventilated seats is still on, the impressive Expresso leather seats, the beautiful accent colors that appear on the front doors and the display console.

Clunky ride

I traded in my 2016 Volvo XC 90 for the 2023 MDX. What a mistake. The ride is clunky. It feels like going from driving a sports car to driving a truck. The turn radius is poor, the car accelerates sometimes when my foot is my even on the gas pedal. There are weird noises that sound like something fell off and is rolling around. Super disappointed. This will be my last Acura. But since I just bought it I will have to drive it for another 8 years or so. I do NOT recommend.

Whining transmission

Tranny defects in 22 and 23s. Constant whine at 30 mph or more. Noise goes and come with touch and release of gas pedal. Dealer says normal for transmission. Acura engineer says normal too. What a piece of crap engineering department. Acura does not quality check their vehicles.

My first SUV, second Acura. The Type S Advanced is top of the line, the extras are amazing. Very spacious, larger than I am used to. Everyone that has been in it, front seat or back agree the ride, comfort, accessories are outstanding. Lots of settings fron drive modes to massaging seats. In Sport+ the car shows off the turbo Type S powerplant. Great combination with the SH/AWD - a very secure, easy to handle package. I look forward to many miles with this Acura.
