A perennial "most researched" on Edmunds.com, the 2004 Honda Accord's combination of refinement, interior space and features make it an excellent choice when shopping for a midsize family sedan or coupe.

Bought my '04 in '07 with 34k miles.
After 4 years & 100,000 miles the car has certainly fulfilled it's mission very well.
I originally evaluated this car against a BMW 3 or 5 series.
I dearly wanted the latter but considered my budget & driving needs - I live in So Cal and would be making regular trips to Las Vegas for work.
I envisioned myself in Baker with a broke-down Bimmer - calling in to work to say I can't make it due to car problems doesn't fly (I'm a pilot).
I searched for and found a 4-cyl. Accord-EX with leather and a stick.
The stick to give myself at least the illusion of driving a real car.
The 4-cyl. model for fuel economy and better reported reliability than the 6.

This is my 3rd Honda. I have an '02
and there is no comparison to
the '04. The interior is vastly
improved and the seats are the most
comfortable in this price range. All
of my honda's have been exceptionally
reliable and so far so has this one.
This car is so well thought out that
Honda gives you a little yellow spot
light on the center console. It's

With the driver seat and steering
wheel adjustment options, it is easy
to find a perfect fit for any driver.
The only drawback is if another driver
adjusts the positions of the seat and
the steering wheel, it is hard to find
that same perfect feel without a lot
of trial and error. One of the
options that I never thought I cared
about was the ability to put the
windows down from the keyless remote,
yet I use this all the time when it is
hot out. I love it, but the downside
is that you have to start the car to
put the windows back up. Two months
after I purchased the Accord the
sunglasses holder would not stay up,
but the warranty process was extremely
easy and they had it fixed in no time
As the model was fully redesigned for the 2003 model year, there are only a few changes on the 2004 Honda Accord. Availability of side curtain airbags has been expanded this year to four-cylinder EX models -- standard on those with leather, optional on cars with a cloth interior. All four- and six-cylinder EX models equipped with a leather interior now have XM Satellite Radio with three months of free service as standard equipment. And as with all Honda cars this year, a new seatbelt reminder system is standard. Accord models meeting California's stringent Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards -- all four-cylinder sedans equipped with automatic transmission -- will also be sold in the states of New York, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.
Hi, Has anyone considered or made the above switch? I have a 2004 V6 LX with 185K miles and it still drives like new. I was looking at the 2013 Sport CVT and it obviously does not have the same pick u...
