I was out on another Cadillac forum and I read a posting from a guy who has a 2005 CTS that was burning a couple of quarts every 1000 miles or so. This guy obviously knows something about cars because he made a modification to his PCV vacuum tube (don't ask me to explain what he did), and apparently the engine no longer drinks oil. So that got me looking around ... Read More
Hey andre1. Unfortunately, the customer cash that General Motors is providing on the 2006 Cadillac CTS is not compatible with special leases through GMAC. GM is providing $2,600 lease cash on the 2006 CTS-V though. GMAC's current base lease rate and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2006 CTS-V with 15,000 miles per year are 3.95% and 63%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease ... Read More

Yes I think they could and hopefully they will, soon. There is no evidence that the upcoming CTS will even be equal to a 2008 BMW 5 series. Now, of course, if we want to compare the 2008 CTS to the 2005 or 2006 5, that is a different animal. ===== Someone wrote here that they could buy a CTS for less than they could lease a 5. I did post ... Read More

Now I do know we are talking HERE on this forum about the UPCOMING CTS. And, I don't intend (nor intended previously) to pile on the CTS. But Cadillac did begin marketing this car in 2003 as their answer to the Audi A4, BMW 3 series, etc. Perhaps there was HOPE back during the early years that the CTS would be compared to the BMW 5's and the Audi A6's and ... markcincinnati, I honestly enjoyed reading your posts but like plekto said the content of it isn't true. You slip in some smiles about how nice the CTS, is but at the same time you are reaching around with a knife stabbing it in the back. The fact remains the Bimmer's, Audi's, Mercedes, you love and adore so much don't come close in reliability, warranty, cost of repairs. Gosh damn, the free ... Read More
Hi mywave. If you were to lease a 2006 Cadillac CTS-V through GMAC right now for 24 months with 15,000 miles per year, its base lease rate and residual value should be 3.95% and 63%, respectively. When negotiating your lease on this car, make sure to take the $1,600 lease cash that General Motors is currently providing on it into account. It will help you to negotiate an attractive capitalized cost. ... Read More
A few notes... The new Cadillac web site is awesone. Great job to whomever did it. It's generally well organized and easy to find what you want. The broadband movies everywhere are a great enhancement. I notice in the 2006 CTS-V pictures that there is an exterior photo showing a wheel that isn't offered as an option. It's a pretty cool looking wheel compared to the standard CTS-V one. Does anyone ... Read More

When I was taking delivery of my SRX today I saw the new 2006 CTS product brochure on my sales rep's desk so I thumbed through it. Initial thoughts... The grill is the same as before but there is a new "sport grill" that can comes with the Appearance package. It's also dealer installable in case you want to put it on an "ordinary" CTS. The appearance of the grill does ... Read More

You know, I would have been more than happy with Cadillac keeping the CTS-V up with the BMW M3, Audi S4 and C32 AMG for performance numbers. But 500 HP? Geeeeezzzz. If they are seriously looking at that for 2006, then what pray tell is in store for the STS and STS-V? Or the XLR-V? This could get pretty silly in terms of available power all around. If Cadillac continues down ... Read More
