2025 Volvo XC60 Consumer Reviews

2024 xc60 Plus Dark plug in hybrid
Should have gone with initial choice of mild hybrid. Very disappointed - getting 15 mpg. Heavy vehicle, drives like a truck, needs brakes when not using gas pedal as accelerates on the slightest incline. So disappointed I got caught up in the 63 miles e, 30 hybrid. Not seeing either!

Extremely unreliable Infotainment/Computer system
The car was purchased as brand new. The first 4 days its faulted 3 times, I was unable to start my drive as the center screen completely black. (Home button doesn't reset, turning on itself hectically after 20-30 minutes) No heat, no windscreen de-ice, no aircon, no camera, no radar, no map, no head up display, no sound in the car for example to turning indicators, etc - in -4C degree. :-( I had to switch to my old Ford while Volvo team figure it out...

I don't miss my Japanese cars
I was entertaining the purchase of another Toyota/Lexus or Honda/Acura as I have enjoyed their reliability and residual values over the past 20+ years. However, I test drive the 2024 XC60 and loved it! Online consumer reviews and reports are less than glowing, but at the six month mark, I'm still in love. Quiet, responsive, beautiful inside and out. The blonde interior is a little too nice for my lifestyle, but I try to keep her extra clean. Former Lexus RX owner - no comparison

Beauty and the Beast
The Beauty: Classy looking vehicle, comfortable cabin fore and aft, but little storage in doors, peppy The Beast: No am radio, no paper manual so much scrolling on website in vehicle, no support from dealership despite an over 30 year relationship, acceleration somewhat scary when proceeding from a stop, once car turned on I can travel all the way to a large garage exit without touching the gas pedal :(

2024 Recharge Ultimate
This is my third Volvo and my second XC60. The ride is smooth and the vehicle is easy to drive. I really wanted a hybrid and I am very satisfied with the XC60 in this respect. I am a city driver, the electric range when fully charged is 39-40 miles, and I rarely use gas. There are a lot of safety features on this vehicle, great sensors, etc. I have not had any software issues, but the Google system does take a while to learn. If I could, I would change the interior storage - the bins are not large or deep enough to store much, even an umbrella on the doors can fall out. The top to the middle console bin cuts into the space of the cup holders. No phone charging pad, so I had to buy one. Overall a great SUV.
