Used 2020 Volvo XC60 Consumer Reviews
Mini Electronics problems
Don't buy a new Volvo SUV. There are so many electronics issues, and the dealership has an excuse for all of them. 1. The phone disconnects from the system after a couple of hours. VOLVO blames this on Apple CarPlay and says they can do nothing about it. This is after reading about how proud VOLVO is to have Apple CarPlay in their SUV's in 2019. Please don't offer it in your cars if you can't figure out how to get it to sync with the VOLVO computer system. 2. The radio turns on in the car when the car has been turned off and the keys are in the house and the car is in my garage. VOLVO says that the car must be locked, in my locked garage - - in order for the car to be completely powered down. 3. The radio doesn't consistently turn down when replying to a text. You never know when it's going to work or not work. 4. With nothing on the passenger car seat, the red light in the instrument panel flashes on and off, indicating that the seatbelt should be turned on. So disappointed that I bought this brand new car and have absolutely no recourse.

Major Mistake Buying This Car
This car was fine for the first 12 months but then the electrical system just shut everything down twice. Both times the car was stuck inside my garage. The first time I was fortunate to be able to get it jump started. The dealer replaced the battery. Now, two months later and with owning this car for just 15 months I had to have it towed out of my garage and back to the dealer. Nothing functions at all and I doubt I’ll ever be able to trust this thing to ever work properly. I’m sorry I traded in my 10 year old Infiniti to buy this piece of junk.

Our 3rd XC60
This is our 3rd XC60, previously having owned a 2010 and most recently a 2014. This car keeps getting better and better, in all respects. While the last one was a T6, this time I got a fully loaded T5 and am very happy with the choice -- the difference in power/acceleration is minimal given our driving habits, etc. Love the color (blue denim/maroon brown), and I think that the safety features and technology are fantastic. Love this car so much that a week later I traded our other car, an Acura TLX, for an S60 T6 AWD. Love being a two-Volvo family, first time in our family. And having owned Volvos since 1985 [1985 (740), 1990 (960), 1998 (V70), 2004 (XC70)], I am just very happy with how this brand has evolved.

beautiful but..
The XC60 T8 hybrid is a beautiful car. It handled so smoothly in electric mode, but the charge is eaten alive if you live on a hill. You don't get 18 miles per full charge once you head home. In gas mode, there was no magic to the car. Our 10 year old Acura and Toyota trucks had more guts to it. Not sure if the twin engine makes the gas engine side less efficient, but it was surprisingly noisy and unimpressive. Back to the hill.. downhill, on occasion, the car would lurch when trying to stop, say at a stop sign.. you really had to push hard to come to a halt. One of the Volvo recalls was for the Automatic braking system, but this fix did not address the lurching. We found it very dangerous. Not a car to lend to a friend, not just because of this issue, but because it's so darn complicated. The vehicle handles beautifully (we got it with the added suspension option), and it might be the prettiest car on the road. Looks aren't everything.
