This was hands down the WORST vehicle I have ever owned. I have driven lots of cars and SUVs, and this one took the cake in bad performance. It's beautiful, especially when you are standing beside it waiting on Roadside Assit because it's DEAD! After 5 alignments in 5 months, being completely dead/towed twice, I had enough. Don't get me started on all the electrical failures, warnings, Service calls, recalls and problems I endured in the 12 LONG months I drove this horrible vehicle. And VWoA is the WORST co. on earth, not caring that they are selling a useless vehicle to unsuspecting people. They do not respond to complaints, and have no intentions of standing behind their horrible vehicle.

Had this SUV for a month. Its been to the shop twice already. Ride is comfortable not enough power. Go with the V8. I was displeased with the sales staff at the location where I purchased the vehicle. I caught the sales staff in a few different lies. Lame, just sell the car.

Good, not great overall. GPS is accurate but has very poor software, lacking information that most other software(DeLorme) offers at a very resonable price. Buy a palm and software from DeLorme for less than half VW's cost and get ten times the information. Problems with rear seat belt and tricky back seats to lay flat. GM is much easier. Go with V8 not V6, more money but much more satifaction. Both engines get poor mileage, under EPA rateings. Premium fuel. Been back to dealer several times, still needs work. Very poor trade in value. How did so many people mistankenly decide this was a supposed outstanding vehicle?

We bought our Touareg in Nov 03 after looking at and test driving pretty much every SUV on the market. We liked the safety features of the Touareg and all the extras that came with it. My electrical problems started about 1 month after we bought it. My "check tire pressure" light would come on constantly. Dealership had to replace something, I guess this is a common problem with Touaregs. My car is in the shop now for the 2nd time because it just won't start. I have had to have AAA come out and jump it and take it to the dealer where so far they cannot find the cause. Something is drainign battery don't know what it is.

We love the way our Touareg rides, drives and handles, but hate the reliability, and gremlins in the electrical system that we have experienced over the two years we have owned it.
