Second Jetta... they keep getting better

I bought my second Jetta 3/07. I was a fan of my 2002 GLS manual Jetta but WOW do I love my 2007 automatic Wolf! So much more pep and the interior leatherette and heated seats are great. Averaging 30 MPG highway, which is better then my 2002 manual was. I'm about to hit 5000 miles and so far this car is the best. I will stick with VW for my next car too b/c for the money you can't beat all that you get.

Good Value, So Far

I just traded in my '01 Wolfsburg Edition for the new '07 model. The engine is solid; it whines a bit at low speeds but has enough juice. The lack of a Turbo takes some of the "fun factor" out of it. The old one had one, but the lack of a turbo but probably makes for a more reliable ride. The styling is OK, it's grown on me a lot since I first saw it. I used to think it looked just like a Corolla but now think it looks a bit more distinguished, especially in black. It has lots of thoughtful extras. Overall I am happy, it has modest power, convincing leatherette, a moonroof, a 10-speaker stereo and heated seats plus a good warranty for under $20,000. I shopped the Altima (great but more money), Civic/Accord, Camry, and Fusion. This was the clear winner.

I bought this car for the looks even after hearing about problems with this car. I am so happy with this car and all it hasdone for me. I live where it snows 3 to 4 months out of the year and it dose a great job. I get 30mpg on the open road. And this car has a fit and finsh of a 40,000 car. I am sorry to say that I sell cars for a living and I did not buy some thing I sell. Happy Happy Jetta Owner

I did lease takeover, 2.0 T w/6 spd manual, leather & s/roof (not highline). I have leased Acura TSX & have a BMW also. I'm very happy with the performance & handling of this car. The interior isn't quite as nice as the TSX. This engine sounds more invigorating. I still get 600 km/tank. Huge trunk. Requires premium fuel. Goes like hell when you step on it! Even at low rpms it pulls beautifully! After 1 month reliability has been fine. Before I took over, it needed a fuel pump repair; the car wouldn't start. If it behaves I will look for another jetta.

I Bought this car Brand New. With in the first 3 Months they charged me $623 for a new passenger window and supposive a bad regulator as well. That being said I didn't take the car at all for any work to be done on it until a Airbag light came on and the passenger side airbags didn't come on with someone in my seat.. The dealership said it would cost $870 for a new module for the seat AND that there wasn't any available but luckily they fixed the problem for $106 to reprogram the computer.
