I love this car!

I bought this car used and I love it. A decade ago I owned a 2000 Mercedes SLK. This car is very reminiscent of that SLK. It is not the SPORTS CAR the SLK was but I am older too and it is perfect for me. An advantage over the SLK is the small back seat (I have two Scotties). Also a plus, the VW is a SULEV, like the SLK it can be driven as an automatic or shifted for "peeling out at the stop light." On the highway, I get 31-32mpg at 70-75. On city streets, it is not as impressive (26-28MPH) and it wants premium gas.

The VW Eos is not only a marvel of engineering but a really fun car to drive. While I was somewhat apprehensive at first about the 4 cyl, one drive on the highway removed any doubts at all about the " get up and go" of this 21 century vwdub. At 61 years of age I fill like a teen again, by the way the girls on college campus like it too.

Great car but has some issues

I bought this car few months ago as a second vehicle. It's been a joy to drive with the top down and I love every minute of it. Coming from a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta I can feel just the extra 50hp this car has to offer. It's nothing sporty but if your daily driver isn't a Ferrari you should have plenty of fun. Interior is pretty simple and the sound system is fantastic even with the top down. The screen is very simple to use and not overly complicated. The only cons I've had of this car is slight reliability issues but it's a used car so you can't really complain. I've had an oil and coolant leak and my top stopped working for about a month until I fixed them. If you're looking for a first convertible that's cheap, fun, and will create lots of memories then this is the one to get. Everything mechanical will have its problems and that just something you expect when buying a vehicle.
