Bye bye BMW

2008 Volvo S80
I got a great deal on my 2008 T6 AWD S80, as it was a high mileage trade in. I paid almost nothing for it and it is the best car I have ever owned in just about all aspects. I was an avid BMW guy for many years, until I realized that BMW stood for Bavarian Maintenance Whore. I put more in maintenance on those things that I bought them for. While this particular S80 is not the color … combination I would choose, meadow green with a brown dash and a tan interior, that put it firmly in the sleeper category. This thing is very quick, agile and comfortable. It is a virtual tank in the snow, I can't tell you how many Jeeps I would have tried to pull out of ditches, had I not liked this car much (but I didn't want to tear it up). The only two things I have had to fix so far were the headlight wiring (it was about $50.00 and a few hours of routing) and the air breather (it was about $75.00 and half an hour labor). It has over 200K on it and still looks, feels and rides like new. I'm a Volvo fan for life!

Still loving this car, it is amazing in all weather and just pure pleasure to drive.
Wanting to get an additional XC70 Cross Country too now.
