2014 Toyota Prius v
If you’re thinking of buying a used Prius V then have no fear! Through 130,000 miles it hasn’t cost me a penny more than the recommended maintenance. I have yet to put on a new set of brake pads. I just had an Uber driver with a 2014 Prius that had 312,000 miles on it and he had not had to change out the battery pack or do anything other than regular maintenance. At an average of 42mpg … Hwy and 48mpg City, it has saved me a lot of money on both gas and maintenance compared with all my previously owned vehicles. The only drawback is road noise, especially on poorly maintained concrete highways. At 30,000 we bought low tread noise Bridgestone tires and it made a huge difference. This vehicle goes back and forth to Florida twice a year and even on the steepest grades and loaded to the max it has never had a problem keeping pace with traffic through the mountains. With 20,000 miles driven annually, if this baby goes to 300k then it may well outlive me!
