A genuinely very good car

2019 Buick LaCrosse
After a year an a half with our 2019 Lacrosse Avenir AWD I am really pleased with the car overall. It's extremely comfortable in its' interior ergonomics and ride. It handles all road imperfections well with only a small thump at most. The ride with the active suspension is very pleasant and is the perfect combination of decent handling (it's a big car) and smooth ride. The seats are … incredibly comfortable and both have more than enough adjustments for every size driver and passenger. The leather seats are heated and that function works very well in the cold months and they are ventilated for summer weather. The cooling function is only marginally effective but still nice to have. The styling is great, especially for a Buick, very sleek and the 20" wheels on ours really completes the fairly aggressive stance. I have seen a few reviews that state that the trunk is small for a car this big and that my be true by the numbers but I think it is big enough and have had no issues with cargo space. The drive train is fantastic and while it won't win any drag races, the 3.6 V-6 paired with the 9 speed transmission is very capable of moving this car quickly from a stop and feels quite powerful on the highway when passing. We live in an area that gets snow and the AWD system work REALLY well. Finally, the expected long-term reliability rating on this car is stellar. It scored way better than even the Toyota Avalon which we considered. Buick has discontinued the Lacrosse but if you are in the market for a great, reliable used sedan, check out the 2017 thru 2019 models. Just skip the hybrid and stick with the V-6 and look for an Avenir AWD if you live where it snows.
