Our one owner, 2014 Volvo XC70 T6 hits a family sweet spot as a vehicle that packs the accommodations of a station wagon and advanced safety-tech features into the chunkier, tougher image and ability of a utility vehicle. Volvo built much of its reputation in the U.S. on wagons; yet if you want anything close to a traditional wagon, the 2014 XC70 is it. With the 'normal' V70 wagon now discontinued here, you have to be willing to accept the XC70's somewhat brawnier look and increased ground clearance. But otherwise, in most respects, the XC70 remains true to Volvo's safety- and utility-minded history and mission--with reasonably strong performance, and some noteworthy active-safety features. Our XC70 T6 is essentially a wagon based on the S80 flagship sedan, but it's positioned alongside the XC60 and XC90 with its chunkier crossover details. It's neither as curvaceous as the XC60 nor as substantial-looking as the XC90, but it impresses as a good mix of tough and sporty from a distance, with a nice stance and prominent body cladding and skid plates that look up to the task of venturing away from pavement. It fits right in with other Volvo cars and crossovers inside, with the same characteristic 'floating' center console, a thin panel housing climate and sound-system controls, with an open storage area just behind. Our Premier T6 model comes with AWD and a 3.2 and a six-speed automatic transmission. This all-wheel-drive version uses the sophisticated Haldex system which sends 95 percent of power to the front wheels under normal driving duties, or up to 65 percent of torque to the rear wheels when needed--making it a good pick for snowy driveways. Our XC70 doesn't at all break from tradition inside, where just like its Volvo-wagon predecessors it has roomy, reconfigurable, and adult-size accommodations. Our T6 model include a moonroof, upgraded wheels, Keyless Drive, the Personal Car Communicator, leather upholstery, and walnut-wood trim and Heated front and rear seats and wiper nozzles, washers for the headlamps, active bi-xenon headlamps, a rear-view camera, and a 650-Watt Dynaudio surround-sound system remain among the many options. Buyers beware that this dealership appears to live up to the 'used car salesman' stereotype!! While I had found a perfect used XC60 to buy all cash, I was trying to get all the proper paperwork and answers to my questions since I live out of the country and could not see/drive the car prior to purchase. However, I sent a relative to meet the salesperson and drive the car and while they were dragging in sending me the certification form and answer my questions on how to purchase, they sold the car to someone else. While I understand business is business, I had expressed my intent to buy but apparently it was easier to sell to another person without even giving me the courtesy or heads up they had someone else interested. Really poor business practice!!

Purchased a car remotely from this dealership as there weren’t any S90’s locally that had the options and color I was looking for. The salesman Dan was OK. All communication was done over the phone and his attitude towards me improved greatly once I told him I was going to purchase the car. The last 2 cars I have purchased CPO have needed a break job immediately after purchase. Since the dealers were local they took care of it in their facility, being that this dealer is 400 miles away I was worried that I would get stuck with a 1400 break job. The salesman and the used car manager Joe assured me that they were a reputable dealership and the breaks would be in good order. The car was shipped to my house and I had to wait for the plates to arrive, once they did I took the car to my local Bobby Rahal Volvo to have it inspected so I could put the PA plates on the car. They told me the car needed rear brakes and rotors but everything else was in good order. I contacted my salesman and it took two weeks to get a response from the management. Joe informed me that my local dealer was just trying to up sell me on the rotors and they were most likely fine if I wasn’t feeling pulsing and that they were willing to pay for the brake pads. The total estimate from the Volvo dealer was $702 but Joe offered to send a check for $250 for the brakes. I reluctantly agreed as I am busy and didn’t feel like fighting over a few hundred dollars with a dealer so far from my home. The check never showed up, a week later I called to inquire about it and Joe informed me that he called and left me a VM stating that I had to provide them with a paid invoice for the completed work. I NEVER received a message from him about this. Not in my missed calls or stored in my VM box. I told him to keep the $250 as I was tired of playing all these games. In the end, the one item I was concerned about and asked several times to make sure would not be an issue is the one thing they failed on. I will have to pay the $702 for brakes myself for a CPO car I just spent $35K on.
