Loud

10k miles in, my biggest impression is that this is the loudest vehicle we’ve had since purchasing our 2012 Prius V. It is so loud, I no longer like to drive it at all. I also drive a Ford Maverick Lariat hybrid, which is much quieter, and, oddly, has more pick up than our trusty Venza. It’s bad enough that, although we love looks, styling, and comfort, we either need to invest in new tires, or sell the dang thing. No point in having a vehicle you can’t stand to drive.

I have owned my 2022 Venza limited for 3 years now. I have had no problems with it at all. I get great fuel economy and it rides nice. The Venza is an attractive looking vehicle inside and out. My Venza also handles very well on snowy and slushy roads. The Venza also has many safety features as well.

Hybrid tech is a hoot. It has been two years now, still haven't cracked 10,000 miles. Toyota offers free scheduled maintenance up to 15,000 miles or two years. At the 5,000 mile point I was no where near 5,000 miles but would have liked an oil change. They refused to do it. Many suggest the wisdom of an oil change 1,000 miles on anew car. After some back and forth they changed the oil when the 10,000 mile check came do and I had less than the 10 and not quite 5,000 on the odometer. Doesn't Toyota reimburse the dealership to the cost of "free" services? It is a lease so next year they may get it back. It probably won't have 15,000 miles yet. They didn't change the oil at the 15,000 mile free maintenance in July. Their argument is it is wasteful to change 5,000 mile synthetic oil before 5,000. It is no skin off their teeth, I offered to pay for the oil. Are they reporting these maintenance cycles to Toyota as "completed"? The Senza middle line trim is a Lexus in disguise. Built in Japan (long boat ride to New York) it reeks of the cultural attention to details and quality. The driving I do often shows on the screen as averaging 50 mpg between electric and the 4 cylinder ice. Can't beat that. And on the interstate on ramp it scoots to 60 in less than 6 seconds. Speed limit on I81 is 70, just about everyone is going 75 to 80 so you can't meander. I just may keep it at lease end, and change oil on my schedule.

I like the look of the Venza but my wife could hardly get in the car without help being it is too high and the car doesn’t have much pickup. Maybe the front passenger seat with power seat would be easier to get into.

The Toyota Venza is a great car. I have had no problems at all with this vehicle. It is Toyota quality all the way. I can't believe Toyota is dropping this car and replacing it with a name of Toyota Crown Signia. Keep the name and continue to make it under the name Venza.
