Not as modern technology size as other pickups and not as high a MPG but extremely reliable. Some safety features that should be standard are not. In light of the height of the truck should ycome with side steps. However the overall vehicle is a pleasure to own and I frequently am asked by other truck owners about features and complimented on its appearance and storage space. Owners manual could be better and would be nice to have on DVD. Seating sized for big people. Dash lighting is poor for old guys like me for day driving. Numbers need brighter range.

My first truck

This is my first truck. I sold my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder because I was sick of going to the mechanic. I leased an SR5 and overall am happy with with. It's powerful, large, good cargo, and seems well built. The biggest cons are gas mileage and the audio can get a bit complicated to figure out. The other thing about this truck is that I have the largest gas tank, around 38 gallons, but the truck tells you that you are going to be out of gas way before you actually use the entire tank. It gives the low gas warning with about 5-6 gallons left which makes no sense to me. Overall, I'm happy with the truck. I have put about 5000 miles on it thus far. It gets 16-18 for me on highway and around 14 in the city.

Let My Tundra Go

Got a new 2020 Tundra Crew Cab on phenomenal 36 lease …300 month zero down..was basically a trouble free beast..in NC I was getting 15-17 mpg ..bought the lease out and traded her in on Ridgeline..got 5 thousand dollars back in trade value..boss was having difficulty getting in and out and refused to drive it..I’ll certainly never have a vehicle for 3 years that leased out for 44k and got 40.5 3 years later..I certainly miss the 38 gallon tank and the ability to get anywheres in virtually any weather that the tundra provided..effortless highway cruiser..just remember you’re wheeling a larger live axle truck..

Best Truck You Can Buy - TRD Off Road

Will, 09/27/2022
2020 Toyota Tundra SR5 4dr CrewMax SB (5.7L 8cyl 6A)

I started to order a 2022 Tundra, but the turbo and quality issues put an end to that purchase. I went with a 2020 Crewmax 4wd with TRD off road package and not the TRD PRO. The TRD provides a better suspension to hand the bad road conditions I get into. I could have purchased any other model of truck on the market and price was NOT a deciding factor. I am in parts of Colorado and New Mexico during the winter and being stuck in the middle of nowhere with no cell coverage is very dangerous. Bottom line is I needed the most reliable truck I could find. Sadly this is the last V8 Toyota will be putting in their trucks and no I am not a big engine guy, but I doubt turbos will be trouble free for 300,000 plus miles and my plan is to run it for 300,000. Pros: Lots of power Easy to use controls Very smooth ride even on really bad roads Road noise is close to my GX460 so quite good. Reliability Huge cabin Fit and finish Apple Car Play Highway driving with a bed cover installed has been 19 to 20. Put your foot in it an drive hard you will be at 17. Meets my towing needs which is the occasionally12x6 U-Haul trailer with a full load in the mountains. The driving characteristics are quite good. I drove a Ram 1500 that did not have an off road package and it seemed stiffer. I liked the stiffer ride, but not a deal breaker. TRD package provided good value with a better suspension, better tire size and skid plates. Cons Not a super luxury truck. Styling is long in the tooth, but still looks good. A bigger LED screen would be nice, but 8 inches is not bad. Used the prices on these trucks is not cheap. The last of the V8s seem to be commanding premium.

I had a 2017 Toyota Tundra. Made a huge mistake and bought a 2019 RAM 1500. I am back in a Tundra, enough said.

Toyota reliability is known, add to that the Tundra I got is the cheapest in the market (similar trim options) also, Toyota offers 2 years free service!

I bought a LEMON, Stay Away from Toyota!

My Toyota Tundra Sport TRD is a lemon, it has severe vibration issues felt through the entire truck and through the steering wheel it's there at lower speeds but severe at speeds over 55 MPH it's almost scary to drive above 75 MPH, Toyota wouldn't pay the dealer to try and find the issue it's in the driveline and impossible and expensive to find and dealers are unwilling to try and find it knowing toyota wont pay them unless the issue is found they won't invest the time and at $145.00 an hour I understand it's not their problem, toyota is well aware of this major defect with my truck and they don't care. Stay away from this dishonest company and the junk they make, I warned you!

Almost Perfect

The first thing I notice is the SPACE. The thing is very roomy inside. The next is the ride. It rides like a truck. You buy a Ford or Chevy truck and they ride like a car. The next thing that stands out with me is the motor. You hear it and feel it. You know you have V8 power with you. The biggest negative is the gas mileage...I'm averaging 15mpg and I am not an aggressive driver. I baby my truck. The software seems a little slow. The WiFi seems like it could use some tweaking. Overall, I do not regret this purchase. It is a solid truck.
