Great truck but...

Awesome truck over all. The dashboard is quite noisy in the colder months due to plastic. The quality of the body material is terrible. You can literally leave a dent in the truck if you smack it w/ your hand...this is not "truck" quality. I worry that the truck will look several years older than it actually is in just 3 years due to the poor quality body panels and paint.

Fuel economy: we all would like 100 mpg but this is a truck and economy is better than any full size truck I have owned. Interior: I forego pretty for functional this truck is functional. Ride: if you never go off road or plan to push this truck to its load limits pass on the off road package. Love my truck: quality, fit, finish, win win win. If you need a truck this is it, if you don't but just want a truck do your home work and understand how the package you're paying for will effect the ride and handling, but this truck will have a trim level you will be happy with. Sorry but this truck blew away my beloved red ram!

Only 100 miles! Nice so far, no bed bounce on 66 which is a concrete highway. Lots of power, interior is nice but some unusual nooks and storage places. Bluetooth and navigation are great as is the sound system. It is a big truck, will take some getting used too. Gas mileage is around 15 mpg so far. No weird rattles or vibration yet.

This puppy has it all

I had the old tundra with the 281HP (2006) and what a difference the 5.7L is compared. This puppy has what it takes, while I don't tow a lot, I know she has what it takes. Once you start her up, she is ready to go!!! My truck acts like a pit bull on a leash with a poodle walking in front of it. You can feel the power this piece of machine has as you speed up and slow down through the tranny. My truck is barely over a year and a half old and I have about 44k miles on it. Beside oil changes (60 bucks a pop) and the power steering fluid change, nothing has gone wrong. I'm close to buying tires for my 18 inch rims, for 4 tires - firestone wants about 900, and sam's club about 600 for michelins.

High Expectations

Just purchased our first Toyota vehicle. Needed a 4wd with the power to pull trailers. We are absolutely over joyed with the comfort and quietness of the ride this truck provides. I have always believed that Toyota builds the best quality vehicles available, and we have high expectations that this pickup will deliver the quality we expected when we purchased. Don't see the harsh ride mentioned by other reviewers. Could be our minds will have changed towards Toyotas after having owned this one awhile. We certainly hope that will not be the case, and don't expect that it will be. Happy owners here so far!
