Be loved for almost 3 years
I purchased this truck brand new on July 28, 2005 and I have put only 17600 miles on it, because I only drive 5 miles to work and I have been loving it since day one. Since I own a home this truck is so useful. Driving is fun and so comportable for a short or long drive. It's been almost 3 years now I have not been in the shop for any kind of repair other than oil change. I am happy with the quality and the reliability of this truck. I think I have made a good choice.
awesome tundra
when i first bought this truck mileage wasnt very good but after installing bed cover and removing exhaust from cats back and installing twin flo masters and cold air induction system it jumped to 19 miles per gallon on average and performance increase was substancial. i also put inroad and track shocks , changed tire size to 275/60/17 hancook ventus tires and handling is really good wet or dry. maintaince has been very good with no major problems . having it repainted now and figure to get many more miles out of it . should mention she has 207000 miles on her now

the best truck on the road....
i've got 2 tundras ...an 05 and 06 05 has 307,000 miles with very little associated repairs...i did replace timing belt as precaution...06 just 200,000 miles...lol..also replaced timing belt as precaution...i believe with proper maintenance and regular oil changes that these 4.7 v-8 tundras will run a half a million miles...and no petty stuff breaking...interior and parts on both are as new...go figure,,,,go tundra...
2005 Tundra Dcab 2wd TRD
Great Truck. Bought used with 42000 miles on it in 2012. My only complaint is car seat latch placement. Behind driver, and in center. Rough getting 2 car seats in these locations at the same time. 2.5 inch lift on 285/75/R16's contribute to the poor gas mileage. Edit. Took lift off, put OEM size tires on and mpg only improved to 12.5. I have a heavy gas pedal foot.

Excellent Truck
This is my second Toyota pickup truck. It replaced a loaded f150 crew cab that replaced my T100. Really like the truck, wish the mileage was a bit better, but its getting about 17 now, and that is with a good percentage of stop and go. 18000 miles in a year and a half and its never been to the dealer. Engine has good torque and is very smooth. Plenty of access under the hood for routine service items, not like my f150 that had everything buried. Interior plastics are ok, doesn't feel like a Lexus, but is just as good as the ford it replaced.
