Used 2005 Toyota Tacoma Consumer Reviews
Great ride, great investment, great truck
I just recently bought the 05 Tacoma and I absolutely love it. It has the interior feel of an SUV and rides like a Mercedes. This truck was made with a lot more attention to the interior than previous models. The seats are so comfortable and the dash is easily accessible and looks great. The interior is so roomy in the front and the back. But the best thing about driving this truck is the horsepower. When I first bought the truck I left the dealership parking lot spinning the tires not realizing how much power this truck had to offer. I love my truck and I would never trade it in for anything else. Just like every other person I wanted to get the most for my money and I definitely found it.
Very nice truck
My first toyota, and probably not my last. Quiet and smooth on the highway, compared to my old Silverado LT Z71. Ample acceleration, fuel economy isn't as advertised, but who's is?

very satisfied
All positive. Tightly built, comfortable, all you would expect of Toyota quality.
05 Tacoma sport 4 dr
It isnt a compact truck anymore the 05 has gotten a little larger it has a real aggressive look to it, it runs and drives like a car the v6 has lots of powerand gets decent mileage I have been averaging about 19-20 mpg with trafic, should do beter on the open highway . I was going to get a 2004 but drove them both and with 60 more horsepower it is a wolrd of difference, I got the prerunner with the sport package so it has all of the color keyed door handles and mirrors and I got it in Speedway Blue, a truly awsome color I get a lot of compliments on the truck.
one versatile truck
Only on my 3rd tank but just love all this truck can do, power to tow my boat, seating, more bed space than the competition, storage everywhere, and pretty good gas mileage. 19.5 mpg first tank, 19.7 the 2nd, combo of city and hwy with even some towing, which used to just kill the mpg on past trucks I've had. Impressive job Toyota. I use premium as recommended for the V-6, note that if you just get 2 mpg more than regular and drive at least 800 miles/month, premium is actually cheaper to use if it doesn't cost more than about 20 cents extra per gal. Do the math too and you'll see, plus much better for the life of this particular engine I bet.
