Ok Minivan but tires bring value WAY down
Decent minivan. After owning a Honda this was our first Toyota minvan. Most of the features we have been happy with. The BIG disappointment is the run-flat tires. I'm not sure why Toyota has stuck with them so long. The cost 2.5X times normal tires and wear out in 25K miles! This is a huge maintenance cost and bring the total value of the car way down. I'll never buy another car with run-flat tires.

2014 Sienna SE Blown Engine 100k
I am very impressed as to this happening to me, my brakes all of the sudden didn't work, crackling noises on the front no engine light ever, van dies on me, and when I take it to the dealership they said is the engine at 100k, first Toyota that brakes at 100k, I have a 2006 with 289k and still running.

CV Axle broke at 100,000 miles.
Unlike my older Sienna, the CV Axle broke at 100,000 mile. I drove my older Sienna 224,000 and never had a problem with the CV Axle. I later found out that this failure is common in that range of Sienna year model. At least I have not seen any motor oil leak yet.. Not sure if I'm going to continue to be a Sienna/Toyota loyalist.

Drives and parks easily
Will hall anything, great fuel mileage
Totaled 2014 Sienna: I now have a 2017 Sienna SE
The Sienna 2014 XLE was a great car. I hit two deer in a 75 mph zone. Air bags deployed, and I wasn't injured except for ear problems due to the side airbag hitting me in the ear. I now have a 2017 Sienna SE Premium. Technology is much advanced since 2014. The BlueTooth interface is greatly improved (much easier to use with a shorter introduction: "How may I help you" as compared to the long explanation before), though during phone calls people can tell I am in the car. With my 2010 Kia Sorento BlueTooth people usually couldn't tell I was driving. The Kia had the microphone on the driver's side windshield pillar; Toyota has kept the microphone in the center above the rear view mirror. iPod interface is also greatly improved. Navigation screen is bigger and better. There is now an information screen in between the speedometer and tachometer. You can customize the screen (mpg, digital speedometer, miles to empty, etc., outside temp is always displayed on the screen). The seats are much more comfortable than those in the 2014. Down hill assist works great: I do a lot of mountain and hill driving. The 2014 had down hill assist, but it didn't work well. Cabin lights are improved: window, door and cupholder lights are brighter and easier to see; they are now blue instead of green. The ride seems quieter, even though the SE comes with 19" rims. The handling is better--tighter, more responsive steering. The engine is now 8 speeds for better gas mileage, but I notice that the pick-up isn't as good. It seems to take longer when I step on the gas getting onto the freeway. The 2017 comes with LED daytime running lights, and the tail lights are LED, so that it looks like they are all white until the diodes light up. The SE does not have automatic third row windows--I miss that: they can only be opened manually. The SE Premium comes with 6 speakers instead of four, which is one reason I went with Premium; however, it also has a rear entertainment system, which I think is a waste. I didn't want it. I would have preferred automatic third row windows or parking assist or adaptive (radar) cruise control, or a subwoofer, or another moon roof, or cooled seats to a drop-down screen that sometimes rattles and will probably never be used. All that wiring for nothing (Blu-ray player to screen, input jacks in the rear (s video?!), headphone jacks, wired into sound system)! There is also a Blu-ray player which takes the place of a storage shelf that I used to use. I almost backed out of the sale because I didn't want the entertainment system. Why oh why, Toyota, did you have to put the entertainment system in? People have iPads and gaming devices with better screens, but I can't buy a stand alone cooled seat, or automatic third row windows, or any of the other useful items I mentioned previously that would have taken much less wiring. What were you thinking?

Still the one - barely
This is our 4th minivan and we believe that many of the features have been steadily improving. However, there have been a few things that have not. The front seats are far less comfortable than a few years ago in the Sienna. The 2014 came with no GPS and a teeny backup camera screen - I added an aftermarket unit and it made all of the difference. The 2015 started to make the larger screen standard. Lastly, road and wind noise has been an issue - passenger side wind noise is fairly obnoxious. Overall the van is great and we hope the 2016+ models are improved.

Never Again (4-year update)
I ordered my Limited with every option and accessory on it. It took over 4 months for it to arrive because of Toyota's way of "building a vehicle" Road noise is unbearable. A 10-year old Caravan or Voyager had less road noise. A weak suspension or something contributed to almost bottom out if any load was put behind the third row. I'm barely getting 23 mpg under any condition. A friend's Honda Odyssey was giving over 28 mpg in the same situation. When you are paying almost $50,000 for a vehicle, you shouldn't have road noise issues or lack of features. A 4-way power front passenger seat??? Really? Remote start that turns the car off when you unlock or open the door? I'm looking for another minivan or an SUV. It'll be a Chrysler Pacifica or an Explorer. Toyota always mentions their reliability in commercials and other advertising but other automakers are also very reliable along with offering great features like massaging seats or blu-ray rear entertainment among other things AND offering better interior quality materials for LESS money. **Update #2** Bought a Chrysler Pacifica Limited. Loving every minute of it. I opted for the Hybrid one due to most of our travel has been local lately. Road noise is at a minimum, features are insane. Build quality, fit, and finish is top notch. The plastics and leather is much better quality and I was able to take advantage of the incentives and a 2020 Pacifica was cheaper than a 2020 Sienna.

Worst Mistake Ever
Buying this is the worst mistake ever.....so many problems, where do I start. My 2014 has 25k miles. When going downhill with slight braking the whole van shakes. The drivers door power window motor needed to be replaced due to a buzzing sound when being rolled up. (It took 2 dealer trips before I could get the dealer to put in a new motor, now it's fixed). The stereo controls on the steering wheel for the volume and channels work intermittently. Sometimes I can push them greater than 20 times in a row before they start working. The dealer refuses to do anything for this because they can't re-create the problem while it's there. The stereo (with Navigation) itself has the weakest reception I've ever seen in a car yet the dealer tells me they know of the problem but there is no fix for it. It's usually mostly static and you lose all reception when driving on the fwy and drive under an over crossing. The paint on the bumpers is really bad. Every time I get a yellow pollen spot on on the front bumper it STAINS it! Even cleaner wax doesn't take it off. The paint on the top of the rear bumper was just slightly rubbed when taking something out of the back of the van and it took the paint off down to the black! The climate controls AC/Fan blow out a weird smell every now and then and when running just the fan with no AC, there is a weird humidity that comes out of it. The car battery died (bad cells according to the dealer) at just one year old. The grey on the "leather" steering wheel is flaking off and starting to show black underneath (remember just 25k miles). I'm sure there is more but that's just off of the top of my head.

Winter brake freeze
I just returned from the Toyota dealer. I had made an appointment to repair the rear brakes that freeze every time the van is washed in winter. I was told by the service advisor not to wash the van when the temperature is below 32 degrees. I have owned several other mini vans & cars & have never heard of anyone being told not to wash your vehicle. We will never buy another Sienna again. It is a 2014 XLE and was purchased new.
