Bought this used one-owner van to complement my Miata. The van is fantastic. My dealership experience, not so much.

Love my van!
We bought our 2004 Sienna LE used 3 years ago with 122k miles. It now has 184k and we drive it all over the country! I have had to replace the front axle, struts and control arm, and the timing belt. Otherwise, it has never left me stranded and starts up every time, even in sub-zero temperatures. The sliding doors "freeze" in the winter and cannot be opened until the van has warmed up a while. The power sliding door hasn't worked since I bought it, but we have no problem opening and closing them manually. The storage cannot be beat and the rear seats fold down easily. Honestly, I look at upgrading often, but there really is no need. I'd love to see this van go to 300k miles and beyond.

I'm ashamed of my car
All the problems we have encountered seem to be my fault not TOYOTA. Can U believe that? Run flat tires were replaced at 20km. Rims destroyed while replacing new tires. Side doors are rusting even though there's tape for protection. Sliding door wire snapped off because of rust, (2mths before end of warranty). Paint job on van must be poor quality because rust is showing through. We have changed our front & back brakes & wheel bearing the 2nd time in 4yrs. Really frustrated! Not to mention all the recalls. No one wants to acknowledge there are problems with 2004 awd vans but me
Best new car I have ever purchased
We had our issues between SUV and Minivan as so many people do. We got our XLE with the DVD option and the kids love it. The ride is so nice and the interior and exterior details are the best we have seen. I spent a lot of time between the Honda and Toyota. The Honda is nice but the Toyota has a leg up on them. The split third row and ride is what sold us. Gas milage so far has been great.
Outstanding Vehicle
I never thought I'd ever write a review about a minivan, much less a good review. I'm pretty sure I'm still a car guy, so it must be a great vehicle. (It is.) The Sienna has incredible storage options, decent power, good handling, good looks, nice ride, and is just an all around great buy. Headlights cast a great illumination path. It did a great job in a snowstorm in NY. We've only had a couple of minor trim problems, and a mysterious and now vanished engine ping. (I don't know why, by the way, that Edmunds has only got a best fuel mileage of 19mpg on their long-termer. We usually get around 25-28 on the highway, and that is at extra-legal speeds.)
