Car driven all over New England in all kinds of weather. It runs great, but the mileage is not. Features are terrific and it is fun to drive. Lots of room, lots of storage. Engine is quiet. Turning radius is tight - very helpful. Good visibility. Comfortable seats.

Still have this van. I think I've reviewed it on Edmunds before. It will be five years old in September 2009. It has about 58,000 miles on it now. I'm very happy with it, as is my wife. Other than a couple of minor things, sensors, a window motor, things like that, it has been trouble free. Even those things were covered under warranty. I don't think we've laid out any money for repairs. We have for maintenance, of course. Still on our second set of brake pads. Had the coolant and hoses changed. Should probably spring for plugs, cap and wires soon, but it still runs fine. Toyota treats its customers very well. Van is fantastic on trips, roomy, smooth, quiet. 25-26 MPG highway, 18-19 overall

Bought new off showroom floor and it has been outstanding vehicle. Driven to florida 4 x yearly for 16 yrs. with A/C running all the way, and now have 168,500 mileage. I've had two fan belts, one timing belt, driver side door check recently broke, which makes creaking noise when opened (I have the part ready for body shop to install, paid $87 for OEM Toyota parts (took some calling and negotiating LOL. Many dealers wanted $135, but I chose Toyota dealer in small nearby town. A/C went out and relay replaced for $200. The interior and exterior looks excellent, even though I've not waxed like I should have. I had new headlights recently installed to get rid of the originals had become cloudy/ yellowed. I've had driver hit my rears bumper and another hit the front bumper, and I was not injured, or even sore. I insisted on the rear being replace with OEM bumper (Geigo wasn't very happy) because they couldn't see damage, but I wanted no problems in case of another rear ender. It drives and handles like new. I bought some used outdoor furniture, and man asked how I liked my van, I said great! He said his company has 5 Toyota Siennas just like mine, with all having over 500,000 miles, and they've had nothing but normal maintenance!

Still running strong after all these years...

I bought this vehicle new when I was a soccer mom and ski mom hauling lots of kids around to events. When they grew up I took out the middle seats to make room for two dog crates. When needed it's easy enough to take the crates out and put the seats back in. This has been my best vehicle ever: I can put two kayaks inside without having to install a roof rack. Also a queen airbed (have camped in it many times), a full sheet of plywood or two bicycles. The only shortcoming from my point of view is that I go to the mountains a lot and really need 4WD for ice and snow. Can't count the number of times I've knelt in slush by the side of the road to install snow chains. My baby just turned over 220,000 and runs like a top. With regular maintenance, not much has gone wrong. Had to have the AC fixed once, and the sliding door cables broke but I didn't fix them as they're hardly essential. Some of the trim is worn out or falling off (door molding held on with electrical tape as dealer wants $500 to replace it) and the paint is horribly peeled (I don't have a garage so it's been sitting out all these years). But that stuff is just cosmetic. My grown sons make fun of me now for having a minivan. But really, it is the most versatile vehicle ever. Holds more than a pickup truck, and I've had it stuffed to the gills many times for camping trips with kids, dogs and everything but the kitchen sink. Thought a few months ago it was time to move on to a newer vehicle, but then decided against it. Even got new tires. I have a truck for when I need 4x4 or am pulling a horse trailer, but the Sienna is much more practical for around town. I wish I could afford a new Sienna with AWD, but it's out of my price range.

14 Years old and it still competes with newer cars

My 2004 Sienna XLE Limited AWD has 165000 miles on it with no signs of stopping. Every feature on this van works as it should and I have yet to make a repair to it. The 3.3 in my opinion is one of the best engines ever built, it is more than able to pull this hefty van around while still getting 23 MPG. The engine still starts the first time and is so quiet you cannot hear it idle. It came from Ohio into PA and there is no rust to be found on the van. I wouldn't hesitate to take it anywhere. Take care of a Sienna and it will return the favor.
