Fits the bill.
I wanted a vehicle with a proven track record, more cargo area than a small sedan, decent power and fuel economy. The RAV4 fits the bill perfectly. The V6 is stout without totally compromising fuel economy. The ride is firm but comfortable. Handling is agile and predictable. Interior/exterior is stylish and driver-friendly. Avg 23 mpg commuting which is a mix of expressway and stop-go traffic. Trips? 27.5 mpg averaging 70-80 mph. For myself, it's practical yet still fun to drive.
Blown up rav4 @ 90K - Not recommended
Just paid off my 2007 rav4 when it blow a motor. The water pump is located in the back and it broke. My wife drove it and blow up the motor. 8 grand for a new one. Even if she did not blow it up, the water pump is on the back of the engine. This requires the motor to be pulled to change it out. A $2000 to $3000 job depending on where you get it done. I had electrical problems. Tire wear issues, brake problems. All the senors would randomly go off on it. The Tire pressure senors where always needing replaced. I ended up junking the car, basically threw 20K down the drain. I know 2 other people that have had issues with water pump or rear main seal. And they all had there engines blown.

Fun to drive, looks great in red
Quick acceleration. Classy interior. The V6 has better gas mileage than many 4 cyl competitors. Love the gray leather interior (though limited to 5 seats in leather). Bluetooth works great with voice commands.
07 RAV4 Ltd V6 4wd is sweet
The V6 RAV4 is outrageous. Power is addictive. Size is perfect. Safety features of a Lexus. Good mileage for an SUV 24+.
Great Buy
This is my first SUV after driving an Accord for years. The horsepower is fantastic as well as the dual zone auto climate control. I have received so many compliments on this car. I got the dark blue exterior with beige leather interior and it is beautiful. The fuel economy so far is about 22-23 mpg in a combo of city and hwy driving and I am still breaking the engine in so expect this to improve a bit.
