I purchased my Prime RAV4 used from Lodi Toyota (thanks to Edmunds) in April 2021. I live in Arizona and no Toyota dealer had any? Instead of putting down a Deposit to a California dealer, getting used (with only 1800 miles) was the way to go! My first Gas fillup was in June. 898 miles on 12 gallons of Gasoline = 74+ MPG-E. Efficient, Luxurious, Powerful (302 HP in Hybrid mode)! My first vehicle I owned was a 1969 FJ40 Landcruiser, Lots of Fun! I’ve owned 3 Toyota Sienna’s and a 2005 Tacoma 4-door Pickup! This is like a LEXUS, without the high price! Looking forward to getting my $7,500 Federal Tax Credit, too! Our other vehicle is a 2020 Tesla Model 3 with Full Autopilot, which is great around town. This RAV4 Prime is the Perfect 2nd vehicle to go on trips to Northern Arizona, California & Road trips!

Heavy over charge for 2021 Toyota Rav 4 Prime

This dealership tried to sell me a 2021 RAV 4 Prime with Premium package for $59,999. The sticker price on the vehicle was $49,294. I understand a small markup due to availability, but that is just insulting.

We were lucky to purchase two 2021 RAV4 primes below MSRP. My wife has the SE and daughter the XSE. Both are getting up to 52 miles in ALL electric mode, 10 more miles than stated. With the Federal credit and state rebates, They are about the cost of a regular hybrid XSE since the $7500 federal tax credit provided a great incentive. We believe the RAV4 primes will provide 250,000 plus miles with ease and low maintenance cost. I am amazed at the efficiency of the RAV4 Prime. It serves our needs. I'm still driving my original 2000 Toyota Tundra. After 21 years, I expect it to outlast me. UPDATE: I have owned a 2021 toyota Rav3 prime SE since new . I was surprised that this plug in EV received more than the 42 electric range. the most I have received after 3 plus years of service, just yesterday, I received 55 all electric range, Now this is called great engineering by toyota. I slow charge the battery each night using 110V. it works and I am guessing its better for the battery?

Our test drive vehicle had no charge in the plug in battery. Quite disappointed in the acceleration. May be due to the weight of the plug in battery.
