Used 2010 Toyota Prius Consumer Reviews
surprised
I am an official car nut, bought a new prius 4 in December of 2010 to commute 20 miles to work. Thought I have to sacrifice fun and comfort for the fuel economy. I have been pleasantly surprised. In 7.5 months we have put over 15,000 miles on the car and coordinate all of our travel around the availability of the prius. Performance has been amazing, mileage terrific and its fun to drive. I really wonder why household doesn't have one in their garage.
I truly love my Pruis!
We bought 2010 Pruis II two weeks ago and we love it. The fuel efficiency is 49.5 miles per gallon. As you drive a little more you will figure out how to even get more MPG. The exterior and interior design are awesome. It is roomy, comfortable, high tech, and driving is great. It comes with 7 airbags including knee. It is easy to handle and control on the road. Quality is great comparing to similar cars available on the market. It also offer great options like bluetooth, assisted parking, backup camera, and navigation, etc. Toyota has done a great job!!!

Short on Detail
We purchased the Prius V with the Advanced Technology Package. It has all the bells and whistles anyone could want in a vehicle but it Lacks In a Few Important Details. The Seats are the biggest disappointment, for a test drive you don't notice, but drive it 50 miles, you will definitely feel it. Placement of the Navigation screen when in the sunlight, makes it almost useless. The sun visors are way short of blocking the sun on the long and lengthily driver and passenger windows. Where are the tinted windows? There is no efficiency in having to use the air conditioner for the added sunlight? I have owned many Toyota vehicles & this one falls short on the added comfort & details I expected.
Livin' the Dream
Made the switch from driving a 2006 6-cyl. RAV4 Ltd to my new Prius 3 wks ago. My first hybrid experience has gone pretty well so far. Purchased the technology pkg with my vehicle, but have come to believe that the added features are not worth the extra cost. Took a little while to adjust to digital speedometer location, but I love the futuristic design of the upfront cabin area. Leather seats are comfortable, with height adjustment on driver's seat appreciated. DVD nav system has led me astray occasionally. Ride with 17" tires is reasonable, but you'll get jostled inside on rougher roads. Interior noise can become extensive depending on the road surface. Audio system is avg, at best.
Wowsers!
I had previously looked at the 2009 and decided to wait due to a couple of features I didn't really love. After driving the 2010 I am so glad I waited. This vehicle is the best hybrid made and every other "hybrid" pales in comparison. I drove the Civic mild hybrid and the Insight before the Prius and there is no comparison. First of all, the Honda's aren't fully hybrid and the fit and finish can't compare with the Toyota. The acceleration is a major improvement and the ride is sooooo quiet. I am going to keep this car forever and laugh all the way to the bank.
