Quite a Car
Purchased the car new in 1990. It has never failed me in any way except for some speaker wire corrosion 2x and Cd player crapped out. It runs flawlessly and will always be in my garage. I should have bought the Turbo, but my father talked me out of it almost 20 yrs ago.
If you can afford to buy...buy
If you your looking for a sports car, this little road rocket should be on the list. Watch for early production manual transmission problems though. Other than that and faded red paint {unless another color which is rare}, the car is really fun to drive. Turbo MR-2's are getting hard to find and should be a collectors item. Grab one if you have the money!! Toyota reliable.

'91 MR2 - Sporty, Reliable, Fun to Drive
This is a great little sports car. It's fast, fun to drive, and nothing ever goes wrong with it. It handles better than any other car on the road. It looks and sounds great too. People stop to look at it anytime I go anywhere. Everyone thinks it is a Ferrari. People are always asking what it is and if it is new. The only compaint I can even think of is that it doesn't have cupholders!
ultimate sports car
Awesome! Tail happy when purposefully slung around...minor suspension mods and you won't be able to lose traction even with 275+ hp.
Still Going And Going And Going...
This little car is the best investment I've ever purchased. Purchased in 2000 with 107,000 miles on it, my 1991 MR2 has only required a few tune-ups, oil changes, new tires, gas, and car washes. It currently has 214,000 miles and it still keeps going and going and going. I love this car!
