Used 2005 Toyota Land Cruiser Consumer Reviews
12 years and still going strong
I’ll probably never sell it. 32 valve V8, smooth sporty ride when you buy quality tires, reliable, full time all wheel drive is great in rain, mud, snow. Glad I bought it and still own it.
Why change something that works!
I'm a SUV lover. I've owned trucks, cars, and other SUVs and this is by far the best SUV I've ever owned. Its amazing how solid it is built. It rides nice, has great handling in the snow, my only problem is it's so nice I don't want to get it dirty! I've had it for some months now and I wouldn't change! The safety features are great as well. On some of the down sides, Gas mileage is bad considering the lack of horsepower and torque. The nav system is great and it doesn't require a DVD. One frustrating thing, you can hardly do anything on the nav system while driving the vehicle, the restrictions are too strict and should be loosened up so you can use it w/out stopping the car.

Back to the LC I Go
I had a 1999 LC and then sadly moved to a 2003 Seqouia (larger size). Seqouia's a nice truck but I could not stand the size/dimensions/fit-finish. Frankly, as my Seqouia review ("It ain't no LC"), the build quality did not equal my '99 LC. Well, I turned the Seqouia in early (from my lease) and have come running back to a 2005 LC (over the new Land Rover). Love the additional features (back up camera is neat). Maintains the sturdy/smooth/fit-finish qualities that I missed but I was somewhat disappointed in not updating some of the annoying features (like the bulky way in folding the 3rd seats). All in all, I will not make the same mistake again. Landcruiser for life.
The Ultimate Off-Road/On-Road Vehicle
I grew up admiring the abilities, looks and quality of the Toyota Land Cruisers. The first chance I got, I bought one...used...5 years old with a new model on the market. To this day, I feel like I'm driving the best looking truck on the road. This 2004 Land Cruiser is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever sat in. It drives flawlessly. It's heavy and rock solid. The gas mileage is expected to be kind of tough. It's a full time 4x4 with a V8...what'd you expect? I bought this truck for my wife to haul our kid around...I'm currently looking for another one to fill my spot in the garage.
It's worth more now. Wouldn't sell it. The Best.
You can feel it all around you as you drive the smoothest roads, lurking behind the mannered response is the beast that this truck is when you need it. It's the redundancy, the layers beneath what is visible to the naked eye that allows this transportation machine to perform at the highest of levels in the worst of conditions. When your life is on the line, you really feel it. Take comfort in knowing that your truck is engineered to outpace any other commercially available option on the market. Factory to snowstorm or sandstorm or rockpile, it's better than the rest. Period. If you make your friends buy the beer when you pull their Hummers out of the snowbank, you'll make up for the extra money you spend on gas. I had to travel for work last week when the snow hit. Knowing that my wife had the Land Cruiser to drive helped me to sleep on my flight to Hawaii.
