i bought the Toyota Crown in September 2023 and now 1 year later i have 52,000 miles on it. i bought it because i was going to travel for work all over the country. and this car did not disappoint. i had a Mercedes van and drove it to Milwaukee for a show. it took be over $380 in gas. i did the exact same trip 2 months later and it cost less than $130 in gas. only in the winter did my mpg go down. but most times i am averaging about 46+ miles to the gallon. on the highway.... and better locally. the sport mode has some good pick up and has gotten me out on the highways quickly in heavy traffic. the comfort and roominess is great. wish it had a sunroof but i can roll down the window. all the controls are friendly. the temperature is quickly obtained in summer or winter. the handling is very tight to the road. i would and have recommended this car to everyone who comes up and says how beautiful the car is. and the Toyota service is great.

Excellent craftsmanship inside and out. Fast acceleration, smooth ride, responsive handling, crisp display/dashboard, large wheels that roll right over bumps like they don’t exist, huge trunk, extra spacious backseats. Excellent car!!

Better than my Lexus

What? Better than my Lexus??? Yes!! Why? Ride, cabin noise, features are equal to the ES 350. What is better about it? Ride height, technology and infotainment are better and easier to use! The engine provides good off the line and passing performance, and while nothing beats Toyota’s tried and true V-6, it is very good given the 42.9 MPG I am averaging so far. I while do not wish to offend the local UAW workers, it is built in Japan, fit and finish is best in class! So $47,800 sticker for my limited????? Yes because the product exceeds my expectations and I like it better than the ES 350 I traded! UPDATE: Purchased a 2024 Limited early summer and have found the driving pleasant and comfortable, Coming from a 2019 Lexus ES 350, the power is much less but fuel economy is impressive. fit, finish and build quality are exceptional. My only knock is the gasoline engine is a bit noisy of the line when it kicks in, and once up tp speed it is very quite. This is our second car for retirment’s around town and short 2-3 day excursions we love to make. We live in the NE US and the cold does rob you of about 5 mpg in the colder months, but sill getting 35, as opposed to my 40 in the cooler/warmer months. Tech is boomer friendly and the Toyota Safety tech is amazing. as we age we find getting in and out of the slightly elevated platform a huge plus. My spouse hates sitting low in a car and this feels much different. The long drive and then refueling still puts a smile on my face!!!

competent and unique

Having read many reviews and after research into the Crown, and because of its unique look and rarity I decided to purchase a slightly used 2024 platinum. Pros: - Smooth (for a 4 cyl turbo) and powerful hybrid power train. - Very quiet and comfortable ride especially considering the 21 inch wheels. It handles road imperfections very well and I assume it is because of the adaptive dampers.. - Conventional automatic transmission that up shifts smoothly and down shifts well. - Distinctive looks and the fact that there are not many on the road. - Plenty of tech that seems to work pretty well although the systems are complex and not intuitive. - Very comfortable seats and interior rates high in overall look and function. - 5 drive modes from comfort to sport+ and full time AWD - Getting pretty good fuel economy (and on regullar gas)., around 27MPG. - It has a spare tire which is not always provided. - 3D overhead camera is amazing. It even shows what is under the car. - It can park itself? Haven't tried it yet and might not ever. - Plenty of safety systems which have not yet proven obtrusive. Cons: - Interior is moderately bland looking especially in all black. The materials are mostly nice but there is some hard plastic - even on the passenger side of the center console. The door panels look boring. There is some bronze metal colored accents but they are few and small. Some wood, carbon fiber or metallic trim could have been added for a more interesting look in the cabin But overall it is nice - Brakes seem very spongy. I have not had a hybrid before and I don't have experience with them and don't know if that is a characteristic of them, however it seems extra pedal pressure is requied to bring it to a stop. -Dashboard screen seems difficult to personalize with the many display options available. The l controls are not intuitive to personalize what is in effect 3 separate displays each with up to ten options.. - Already found a glitch in the infotainment. I was using wireless carplay displaying maps and listening to Spotify. To exit carplay the instructions are to hit the Toyota icon which will bring you back to the main screen (There is no home button). I could not get Spotify to stop playing and had to go into my phone and forget the vehicle wireless connection. As far as I can tell that only happens when listening to that App and was able to exit carplay when only using Google Maps. I was worried I would not be able to listen to Sirius XM and use Google maps at the same time but it turns out I can. - Toyota requires a monthly subscription to use the built in Navigation. Overall very happy with the purchase despite these issues which are probably similar to ones on almost all new vehicles with complicated Tech.

In February, we purchased a 2024 Toyota Crown Limited. This car is a beautiful, luxury riding hybrid without the Lexus price tag. We love the quiet ride, the nice interior, the look and feel of the car. We are getting average of 42 MPG. The vehicle sits a little higher than a regular sedan. Love the look of it and the color (heavy metal). The color is a mix of gray/brown, just as it sounds and is gorgeous in the sun! The size of the infotainment console is large and easy to manage. We are very pleased with our purchase.
