2015 Toyota Corolla S Plus 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl CVT)

I bought my used 2015 Corolla S Plus in December 2018 with 54k on her. Today in April 2020 she has just over 61K. This is my first ever car (I am 45, long story) so my review might not hold up with those of you who have experience owning and driving multiple cars over time. That being said, I absolutely love this car. I've driven other cars over the years, including a few Corollas as they are a family favorite. My friend had a 2009 Mercedes C Class until recently, so, yes, I have experienced some driving variety in my day. My 2015 Corolla S Plus meets and exceeds my expectations. I am 6' tall and it is definitely workable, though my left leg might get a little restless should I ever attempt a long drive; for that reason, I think a Camry might be my ultimate perfect fit. As it is, I currently do food deliveries for a living and am in and out of my car all day long, so again, the size is workable. The interior at my trim level is very nice. Everything looks as good as it functions. I recently rented a 2019 Civic for a week when my Corolla was hit on the passenger side. While I love the Civic's looks, the interior does not hold up to my Corolla's. The cloth seats look cheaper than my leatherette seats as do the materials that make up the dashboard. I see a lot here (and have read extensively elsewhere) about the CVT being annoying. I've only driven "regular" 4 and 5 speed automatics lately and can say that my CVT performs great. The first couple of gears are held longer than a traditional automatic would. The result is reasonably fast acceleration that comes with a bonus (for me, anyway): I get to hear the engine go VROOM when I need to accelerate quickly on the highway. The loud engine under these circumstances might annoy some, but I love it. This car definitely moves when it has to. Handling is fine, not overwhelming, but fine. Traction control and stability in wet and snowy conditions is fine. The key word here is "stability": this car feels stable and safe at all times and at all speeds, even when I let her open on the highway. I cannot ask for more than that from a car at this point in time. And yes, the Super White paint does chip prematurely. Toyota sent me a letter last year acknowledging a defect in their white paint and offering to fix it at some point. Still haven't heard anything further. Luckily any chipped paint was taken care of by the body shop after my recent accident (not my fault!), so my car looks new again. But yeah, Super White and Blizzard Pearl are supposed to be problematic paint colors for this particular era of Toyotas. I plan on driving this car until it is no longer safe or reasonable to do so, so I will be sure to post updates.
