Used 1998 Toyota Corolla LE 4dr Sedan Consumer Reviews
Still going...
I've had my LE for almost 8 years now. It has over 118k on it and it's still going. I bought the car for it's cute, sporty look(I added the rear spoiler and moon roof). I liked the price and it's fuel efficiency. My next car will definitely be a Toyota.
A Good Year for a Toyota Corolla
Purchased in 1998 and still seeing the model being driven by others, car has been very reliable and met my travel needs. Design wise it is ho-hum but mileage wise it is excellent. A tank of gas fuels about 300-320 miles - more if you have the Westerlies behind you. Although a sports car fan at heart, the car is my 4th Toyota and it has served me well.
Cruisin'
This is my fourth Toyota and 2nd Corolla. My first one - a 1990 is still going strong with my daughter who has now clocked it over 225000 miles last month! This is the greatest little travelling car going!
keep it forever
I bought this LE model brand new. Since then it has been driven by 4 members of the family for a total of over 120,000 miles and runs as good as when we first bought it with no big repairs except the A/C. In fact, it still has the original exhaust system. We are in the very snowy Pocono Mountains in PA. It is only so-so in snow on the road that is over 3" without snowtires but I'd still recommend it to anybody. The only better vehicle I've driven is a Toyota RAV4.
Pocket Saver ( saved my truck )
Drove this car last year 1600 miles per week for about 4 months. We were moving and this car saved us hundreds of dollars in fuel. Did very little maintenance during that time period ( I was living in it ) We still travel a good bit. Car now has 110,000 miles all we have done is oil changes, plugs, wires, belt. Now needs struts. Usual wear and tear items. Hard to let go just need a bigger more comfortable travel vehicle.
