Used 1998 Toyota Corolla LE 4dr Sedan Consumer Reviews
Not as good as I expected
I bought this car two years ago. It caused me a lot of troubles. First the battery became bad, I changed that. The the alternator was broken. The came the brake. It has some problems with starting. I changed the plus wires, it did not help at all. I wish I had never bought this troublesome car.
Great car for a new driver!
I have had my 98 Toyota Corolla for 5 years now. I got it when I was 17 and it was the perfect first car. The compact size make the car easy to manuever. The strong braking has helped me avoid some near accidents. It's very easy to park, drive in the city. Believe it or not, it has good passing power. In 5 years I have never had anything serious go wrong ever. A few alignment issues, and now my AC/heat is acting up (at 95,000 miles). It's a comfortable ride even on long trips. The back seat space is a little tight, however. I would recommend this car highly for reliability and excellent gas mileage. 8 solid hours of highway driving before a tank refill.
love it
Although I haven't had my car that long, I love the corolla. My car has everything I need. Lots of space to store things, power, good handling and turn radius, among other bonuses. The gas milage is great and I like the design. This car is very practical and a great commuter car.
Still going...
I've had my LE for almost 8 years now. It has over 118k on it and it's still going. I bought the car for it's cute, sporty look(I added the rear spoiler and moon roof). I liked the price and it's fuel efficiency. My next car will definitely be a Toyota.
A Good Year for a Toyota Corolla
Purchased in 1998 and still seeing the model being driven by others, car has been very reliable and met my travel needs. Design wise it is ho-hum but mileage wise it is excellent. A tank of gas fuels about 300-320 miles - more if you have the Westerlies behind you. Although a sports car fan at heart, the car is my 4th Toyota and it has served me well.
