Traded the 2017 for this.
Since we had so much issues with ABS lights on the 2017 Camry, traded in for this newer updated Camry. Although dealer suckered us for $4,000 cash down payment on top of trade in, we are satisfied with this Camry overall. UPDATE, 12/21/2019. Since last posted, car had been experiencing oil odor in the car when running A/C on max while parked after @25 minute drive to town. Intermittent problem that dealership maintenance manager first described as "plastic on intake vent" we were smelling...AFTER owning the car this long. Dealership maintenance failed to identify problem AFTER 3 reports we made. Last trip, they said it was a drop of oil from last oil change that we're smelling...AFTER 3 months?! 4th reports were blown off, stating that we need to come in when we're smelling the oil...we told them to keep the car, let it sit a week, start it and drive @25 minutes with A/C on max then park. What they told us LAST trip was that they(service manager), admitted they do smell oil as we had been reporting. Yet, they refused to give us a loaner so they can test the car as we suggested. Their excuse was that they have no loner for the long. We will invoke a lemon law if this continues and demand a FULL refund or a new car.

WORST ENTERTAINMENT/NAVIGATION SYSTEM EVER!!!!!!!!
Very comfortable car for old people. Big engine, but lagging response. But the entertainment system and navigation require your cell phone as the brains and it is a PAIN. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

Regret changing to Toyota Camry from Honda.
2018 Toyota Camry does not have features that older Honda Civic (not even Accord) has. For example, there is a clutch in Honda to open the trunk from outside. It's a very convenient feature; I do need to open front door or press the key to pop the trunk. And the 2018 Camry does not have the remote engine start feature which older Honda (even Civic) has it. The acceleration is very bad; Honda Civic (not even Accord) has a better acceleration. Overall driving experience is bad compared to that of Honda. I would not buy Toyota again in the future and I do not recommend it to anyone

Regret
Wish I could have returned this car. Purchased it used from a Toyota Dealership. It is beautiful, inside and out. Very low mileage, yes I did drive. This is my first Toyota and not the quality I was expecting. The Toyota dealership has been horrible, not much help. Reading the reviews and I am experiencing the same problems.

I love the way my car rides and how comfy it is. I usually get uncomfortable on long car rides. It’s got the best gas mileage I’ve EVER had.

Love our car!
I am very pleased with our purchase of "Camy." She's an awesome car! There is only one minor issue and that's the entertainment system. We only received 3 months of free Pandora, etc. and now we have to connect it from our smart phone every time we want to use it.

Love my Camry
Very nice mid sized car, love the design and my red interior. The safety features are so helpful to keep me and others safe. Comfortable leather seating and very gas efficient.

It's been a great car!
I have a 2018 Camry XLE (4 Cylinder, White Pearl) with 36,500 miles. To date the car has been great! I'll list the pros and cons that I've noticed so far. Pros: 1. Great design, in appearance and performance. 2. Comfortable seats for long trips for driver and passenger. 3. Safety features such as lane departure and adaptive cruise control work amazingly well and have been an overall joy to use for long trips. 4. The gas mileage meets EPA estimates or BETTER. 5. The 2.5L 4 cylinder has great performance and doesn't feel underpowered. 6. Longer service intervals. 10,000 mile intervals for oil changes. 7. Engine noise and transmission have been of no concern while driving. Maybe an occasional hard shift in uncommon driving conditions. 8. LED daytime lights and headlights with auto dimming work great. Sometimes the auto dim gets annoying in town but it's easily disabled during those occasions. (Simply put on low beams while leaving auto dimming on will disable the feature. Then when you cut on high beams the feature is automatically re-engaged.) Cons: 1. Infotainment system. Most of the complaints about this vehicle have addressed this issue. They have released a recent software update (10/2019) to add Apple Carplay and my wife loves it, but they have not added Android Auto. The Entune Navigation is junk. 2. No memory seats. Me and the wife have to constantly manually adjust the power seats when each of us drives. 3. No cooled seats option. 4. OEM tires had to be replaced around 35,000 miles. They got to the point where I was terrified to drive in the rain on the interstate. Even new I feel the car had poor traction in wet conditions with the stock OEM tires. I've upgraded to Yokohama Avid Ascend GT tires which have been a great improvement. Possibly just a poor OEM tire for the Southeast summers? 5. The back seat is noticeably smaller than the previous generation Camry. My three kids (11yr old, 8yr old and 4yr old with Chico convertible car seat) constantly complain about not having enough space. Center seat position is tiny. 6. No fog light option. 7. I wish it had a larger digital speedometer readout instead of the analog speedometer, I never look at the analog one. 8. Stock OEM wind shield wipers were crap or had a defect to where they didn't fully clear the wind shield of rain. They were replaced within 1,000 miles of ownership. 9. Blind spot monitor on driverside occasionally stays lit during the summer months. 10. When refilling with fuel it seems I can put one or two more gallons of fuel in after the initial click off. I believe that's it. It's been a great reliable car that feels safe and confident on the road. Would recommend as long as you don't have 5 large passengers (adults).

Dusty and warning light issues
Nice looking car and handles well. My main issue is the dust in the car. Dealership suggested I keep fan on higher and keep the interior air circulation off which does not help. They should have better seals on the car. I have owned many vehicles and never had so much dust in a car Also dusty in the gas door and Have issues that set off check engine soon and other flashing light due to build up around the gas cap Car is truly annoying with all the dust issues. I would not advise anyone who has to drive country roads to purchase a Toyota. Also did not come with a block heater In Saskatchewan?? Had to wait a year to get one and then Pay to get it installed. Should have bought the Honda Accord with black heater and remote car starter for less money as this Camry is costing me money at only 65,000 km.
Great car with an awful infotainment system
This car is overall one of the best vehicles I've ever owned, but the few flaws that it has almost unbearable to live with. The Entune 3.0 infotainment system is the worst out there, bar none. It's a pain to use because you have to connect through the entire app on your smartphone and every time you turn the car off and return to go out again you have to repeat that tedious process. Even when it does work its "buffering" constantly and that is annoying when you're driving. Sometimes the engine hesitates when accelerating from a stop in traffic. It does settle down quickly once you get going though. I like the car overall but I wouldn't purchase it again.

So far so good...
Was looking for a fuel efficient sedan ( camry, accord , mazda6) and found this 2018 camry XSE. Did 41 mpg on the 45 minute trip home. The 2012 camry I traded in was only doing 29-30. Also, this camry is loaded with options and was at a great price compared to the others. But it's only been 2 days of owning it so I can't complain much Update: Car has been very good a year later. We've put 30k miles on it and have only done the basic tire rotations and oil changes. Only thing I've added is windshield washer fluid.

Dream Boat
Be ready to love this car! It is so smooth. When it’s time to cruise, it’s got you. When it’s time to get up, it’s got you. The curves and style of the interior are so well designed, it a pleasure to drive everyday. I found myself making up errands to run just so I could drive it! This is the nicest car I’ve owned.

Not Reliable!
I love my Camry 2018. However, the transmission stop working at 100k miles. My 2000 Camry, which I gave to my mom, is still running at 160k miles. Extremely disappointed!

VALUE FOR MONEY
I own a 2018 camry SE. We have put in 50000 miles. The car is quite comfortable, has decent performance and decent mileage. Very good ride. It is extremely reliable. It is tough to do better than a camry if you want an affordable large sedan. Changed the tires now (it still had 20% tread).

Comparable to the Accord? Not so much.
Having owned nothing but Hondas and Acuras over the past 14 years, I always looked at Toyota and Lexus as an equal (Lexus probably more so). However, that was prior to owning a Toyota. I owned a Honda Accord (brand new) for probably 4 years while taking it up to 90,000 miles. I loved it, never once even a minor blip on the radar of an impending issue. The same can be said for all the Acura’s I owned (including the TSX I took to 210,000). Toyotas I pictured having the same reliability and build quality. But after having this one for about a year now, I’ve changed my mind. The build quality is quite subpar. Simply look at the ill-fitting rear head rests and you’ll understand what I mean. The fake leather looks as though it was meant for a bigger head rest with all the lumps and wrinkles to prove it. Then there is all this hard plastic everywhere. It’s squeaky and cheap feeling. The ride is noisy and the engine acceleration seems inconsistent. You press your foot to the floor only to be met with a long pause. Then there’s the high-beams that decided to quit working… I could go on, but I feel you get the gist. My recommendation? Consider the Accord, all the Hondas and Acura I’ve ever owned have been excellent, it’s why I keep coming back to them. I can say almost certainly, I’ll never own another Toyota.

TOYOTA IS LOSING IT
I have owned several Toyotas over the past 40 years. They have gotten progressivley worse. They used to be the best. My dealer: Mark Jacobsen Toyota in Durham NC. I purchased an almost new Camry. The key FOBS failed the first day. The dealer refused to replace them. New FOBS are only available at a dealer. This is my last TOYOTA. I would suggest a Subaru or Honda if you must have Japanese car. There are several other nagging shortcomings this 2012 car had versus my preivous cars. I can tell a trend when I see it.....

Best car I've ever owned (11 impala and 17 Malibu)
Lots of heads turning driving this car! I always get great compliments from my Uber passengers.
Design is on spot but performance could be better.
The design of this car is truly amazin. One of the best looking camries ever. But the performance could be better. The transmission shifting could be smoother. The acceleration could be more. And I don’t know why they don’t have heated side mirrors on se. It was really needed.

A better Camery finally
After a period where the Camry became the rental car from hell sort of bland vehicle. It is now a comfortable as well as reliable staple for those who pass on a SUV lifestyle. Our only problem has been this Winter when extremely cold the engine temp has problems staying at midrange on gauge. It varies widely between a quarter up from cold and mid level of gauge. The dealer states nothing is wrong but our MPG's have suffered we think because of this. We do get heat in cabin and defrost is good so its possible this is just a design quirk of the new engine. Which has a electric variable water pump controlled by engine management. Otherwise the Camry drives fine, and the ride is very much improved over previous model. Having owned a Lexus ES300 we feel it rides almost as good and in handling the Camry is better. Which the Apple Car play made it into the 2018 system, we dislike the Entune system so much its the worst part of the car.

Commuter Car Needed - Camry Hybrid the Answer
The Camry looks a lot better than a Prius. Since my commute involves hills, sometimes you need the extra horsepower to pass lumbering trucks or slow driving vehicles.
