Byers beware! The so-called Entune Audio doesn't have neither CD(!!!), nor HD radio. I had all of those features plus a moonroof on my 2016 XSE for $65/month less (leased), and assumed them as basic features in any current car, especially next generation2018 XSE I've leased again. Big mistake! Unscrupulous salespeople never pointed to the lack of those features.

I have to say that I love my 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid. But, the telematic / Entune thing does not work and Toyota will not fix it. The Navigation will stop working if yo actual use it. The Front Driver's seat keeps going bad too. It was never comfortable but every 10K miles or so the bottom seat cushion seem to fail and I am sitting on a steal bump that is poorly located for men.

2018 camry great car with mediocre transmission

2018 Toyota Camry LE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 8A)
7 of 10 people found this review helpful

Update 3 years later, March 2021, I just got rid of the car and bought a Mazda, I just could not wait to get rid this Camry, the engine started to hesitate, due to a faulty fuel pump, Toyota sent a letter recognizing the problem but has no fix for it yet, the 8 speed transmission with the engine lag drove me nuts for the 3 years I owned the car, I hated that car every day until I got rid of it. Toyota truly dropped the ball on this one, I would stay away from Toyota at this time since they are using this transmission in all their new line up. I just purchased a 2018 camry LE with the 4 cylinder, the car looks gorgeous, the suspension is very comfortable and interior is high quality material. So here are my personal pros and cons about this camry : Pros: the car is beautiful, high end interior design, high quality materials, I love the big screen with the back up camera, love the standard LEd headlights with the automatic high beams nd most of all I like the gas mileage with out losing the power. Cons: The leg room has shrank in this camry, I truly believe that back seat leg room is the same as the corolla, I think Toyota lost the room by making the trunk humongous. The seats are also very stiff, so if you are going to take a long trip, you better take a couple of ibuprofen because your back will be sore, and finally the thing that I hate about this car is the 8 speed transmission, it struggles to find the right gear, IT SLAMS into gear when you put it in Drive, as i start driving, I can feel every gear shifting because the car shakes every time the gears shift or downshift for that matter, and when it downshifts to the last gear at a complete stop, it feels like the car is about the stall. So Toyota, I give an F on this transmission, the engineers didn’t make it in a way that the gears shift smoothly, I mean I understand the whole concept of 8 speed to save on gas at a low RPM, but come on ! I don’t want to feel every gear shifting up or down, it’s a very uncomfortable feeling. And the response is also mediocre, let’s say I need to hit the gas and go fast, there is always a LAG, you have to wait for the transmission to make its mind which gear it’s gonna choose and when it does it pins you to the seat going to 5000 rpms, I hate it ! Update: after owning this car for 2 years, I would NOT recommend it for any body, this car just is boring and engine hesitate at times and get louder after time, for that price you can get a much better car like the Honda Accord or the Mazda 6 or the Nissan Altima.

HORRIBLE SCOUT GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM

CANDY, 05/07/2018
2018 Toyota Camry XLE 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 8A)

The Scout GPS system is abominable!!! Did the team that installed this system even test it out? They could not have! I have been lost at least a half dozen times in the three weeks I have owned this car. It just cuts out anywhere and everywhere. Antennae is probably defective and since it runs on cell phone, the signal is sometimes cut off. PLUS it uses my Iphone 8 battery at an alarming rate with the entune, remote and Scout apps. I HATE IT!! Had I known this was the Navigation I would not have bought the car., I have owned four other Camry XLE and LOVED the navi system. Now I am angry and frustrated. PLEASE change this back to Integrated system in 2019 and allow 2018 to also go back to integrated system.

Love The Style, Ditch the Tech

2018 Toyota Camry SE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 8A)

I was so excited when my wife finally said yes that I can get a new car, I wanted to have the Lexus IS350 but it's a bit pricey, so, I ended up financing this 2018 Camry SE, loved it the moment I saw it although I was skeptical about the interior color (ash gray) unfortunately, the dealership didn't have any other color, ( I wanted to have black). After having it for few weeks I started hearing a popping sound in my roof especially when driving in rough roads and I had to deal with the dealership for few months until they figure it out what's causing the issue, sounds disappeared for a while after service and came back after few weeks, had another service schedule on May 19. Technology on this car is a joke, why can't you have the SCOUT GPS work thru Bluetooth? instead you have to connect your USB and oftentimes interfere with other apps. Acceleration is sometimes jerky, when at full stop, press gas pedal gently otherwise you'll have a jumpy shift change.

5 years away from a Camry, it was time to go home. Home to another Camry that is. Too early to give a "review" but for the last three weeks, I have enjoyed the comfortable ride, really good air conditioning and really really nice looking car. This is not the same Camry I purchased in 1999 and drove until 2013. I purchased the 4 cylinder and it has plenty of power. There is a lot of technology in the car that I will have to get accustomed to but I look forward to a long time to learn everything. October, 2018- This was a Hurricane Harvey replacement vehicle and until just this week, i was still using it as a workhorse car to carry tile, carpet and drapery fabric. The trunk is a great size and the folding backseat were both very handy. No passengers yet in the backseat so really cannot say anthing about comfort. I have not figured out how to program the garage door opener and use other technology things and may never do so. But the air conditioner works great and the two dealerships i have used for the free oil changes were very nice. Unfortunately the second dealership found that one of the tires had a "slow leak" and had to replace it at my cost. Purchasing this car took a burdan off my mind during a very trying personal time and now that things might be getting back to a normal, I have every confidence that it will continue to do so,

Great Car - Poor Entune & Navigation systems

Toyota has a great redesign for this car. I drive a LXE Hybred and get and avaerage if 42 mpg. WHY Toyota would utilize a poorly designed entertainment and navigation system in today’s marketplace is unknown. Not only by me but the people at Toyota Cares can’t give answers. What an upgrade from my 2012 version

Milt from Estero, FL, 09/18/2018

This is a completely new Camry compared to my highest end 2012 fully loaded V-6 XLE. It is much quieter, we got all of the upgrades available and the technology is remarkable. Too many cool features to list. We have driven it 800 miles so far and it handles like a dream, it almost drive it self on the expressways. It steering is remarkably responsive and it handle corners much better than the 2012 version. We are very happy with our purchase. Our 2012 model has 60K on it and all we have done is change the oil, filters and put a set of Pirellis on her a year ago- which really lessened the road noise and improve the handling. My wife calls the new one the bat mobile. It is black with the larger low profile tires, the tinting and the moon roof and its cool lines- look it up and I think you will agree. It is a lot of fun to drive, even for a 63 year old guy like me and it is like sitting in your living room at home and you arrive rested even after a long drive.

Phone charging pad never worked from day one with Samsung Galaxy 6, no fix from Toyota. Entune sys is a joke! If you want one of these cars, buy the basic LE model without all the high Tech stuff, which is not up to par. However, safety items, such as lane departure, cruise control, back up camera are fine. Fabulous gas mileage for this size car. Will buy a different car next time. Toyota says, it could be my phone with regards to the charging system, so I traded up to the Samsung 9 and it still doesn't work. They suggested I contact the maker of this charging system in the vehicle. That was a laugh. They seem to take no responsibility for their system in the vehicle. I just could not believe this response. Second thoughts about Toyota, too big to really care about the details or an individual customer. They are loosing a long time customer who buys many vehicles. They are only concerned with the broad numbers, when it comes to their business.

I only sat in the 2018 SE

Alan D., 08/18/2017

I have long legs. I sat in a 2018 SE and was pleased to find a little more front legroom than in my 2015 SE. Take it for a test drive on a coarse road to determine if road noise is considerably quieter than in the previous model. Be aware that new tires are quieter than tires with 30k miles on them. My 2015 SE is a little noisy on coarse roads, but not as bad as an Accord or Mazda 6. I don't really mind that, but have been in vehicles with a little less road noise. Other than that, if the 2015-2017 SE handles well enough for you, you may want to consider the 2018 LE for its smoother, quieter ride. You may prefer its lighter steering if you found the steering a bit heavier than preferred in the 2015-2017 SE. If you prefer better handling and a heavier steering feel, the SE and XSE may be your cup of tea. Of course, looks, standard features, and available options will matter.

Sales person won't tell you navi system will NOT work without the proper phone. GPS only works FROM the phone? Why buy the navi system, then?? Mileage less than advertised. 3rd Toyota and based on the navi system will NOT buy another. Dealer and corporate will NOT support as they have no clue what the issue is!! Returned car 6 times 1st two months for the malfunctioning GPS. Each time was told it was everybody else's fault not Toyota!! Plus, each visit was another excuse as to why GPS was not working.

I've been a Toyota guy all my life , Celica, tercell, 13 Toyota Corolla type S , 15 Toyota highlander XLE, love Toyota, my car has 200k miles and immediately thought about the 2018 XSE Camry white and red. I decided to star reading reviews about it and then make the desicion well the simple fact that the car doesn't support Android auto and it has too many complains about that stupid Entune and scout GPS kept me away to pulled the trigger on it so I said myself what the hell I'd go and test drive it so I went like the car and everything beautiful car I told the sales guy if he'd let me pair my phone to see how the Entune works so he couldn't do it and told me a bunch of excuses why it didn't work anyway long history short I didn't buy the car instead I bought a Honda accord sport 2.0t love it the best desicion ever, support Android auto , Pandora, everything , love the power the style everything , being a Toyota guy my advice is this. Toyota thinks they can survive just with his brand name but it is a lot of competition Kia Optima SXL is very very nice , Honda accord , sonata limited, all of them smoke Toyota on technology, so I can't justify pay 35k dollars for a car that just has radio and you have to give up all your data on your phone just to just a GPS that doesn't work before you make a desicion do your homework , watch YouTube videos , read what the real people has to say about the car , don't go by what the deer say, ask question on forums etc, too many ways to prevent waste 35k dollars and get stock with a car that you will hate every time you turn the radio... remember we expend most of our time in the car buy something that support everything you need and put a smile on your face when you drive it.. the accord did it to me..

I have to say, Camry is good with updated dashboard and stylish outlook. But the toyota guys are not helpful once you purchased the car. They will come up with irrelevant reason for every issue. I had to call the Toyota since the Pre-collision system is not working in my new Toyota Camry 2018 SE which resulted in an accident, however they are not helpful and come up with some reason that Pre-collision system will not work in some scenarios which were not mentioned anywhere. Wont suggest any one to go for Toyota with this bad experience.

Would never buy a car with such an ugly interior

I have a 2016 Corolla LE and that has a better interior than the new Camry. I cannot overstate how ugly and intrusive the new dashboard is and how little room the driver and passenger have for their legs. You literally sit it a tunnel and one of your knees is going to be rubbing against the center console unless you hold yourself stiffly upright. This car is also way too low; I was riding behind a Honda Civic and the driver of the Civic was a good foot higher than I was. I felt like I was driving a go-kart. Lastly, the interior materials were really cheap plastic, the Corolla has a much plusher interior. I am amazed that anyone at Toyota headquarters would allow designers to do this to the Camry.

The car ride smooth and transmission shift like a dream. I bought the Camry XLE with the 2.5-liter engine and 8-speed transmission over the Honda Accord touring 1.5-liter turbo engine and CVT mainly because of the reliability Toyota offer. I almost bought the Accord but after doing some in-depth research and test drive the Camry wins over my decision.

Road trip Camry Rental

Gypsy, 03/13/2019
2018 Toyota Camry LE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 8A)
2 of 2 people found this review helpful

I have a Chevy Malibu LT1 that I just purchased and was having maintenance done on it. Rented a 2018 Toyota camry and drove long distance (over 1200 miles). The camry did well on the road, headlights and automatic high beams, as well as cruise control with the distance feature was nice. I noticed the cabin doesn't isolate road noise very well which is slightly annoying. Maybe it was just me, but I found the driver's seat to feel stiff and uncomfortable and now home from the trip my back aches, my knees and feet hurt and I didn't feel like I "fit" in the seat really well. The center console was deep and large and seemed bulky and excessive. Being used to my Malibu, space seemed smaller as well. The rental car knew nothing about the technology, so before my trip I sat in the car for at least half an hour trying to figure out how to hook my phone up to the touch screen. I had to look up the model of the car and discovered what scout was and then had to download that app for it to work right plus make sure the phone was plugged into usb..so excessive and unnecessary, and driving on the highway it is a distraction and an annoyance that nothing is integrated and you have to push each button for audio, apps, phone and they dont work together. The entune/ scout would mess up and I'd have to physically mess w my phone to reconnect multiple times. Being used to using google maps, scout is horrible for navigation. It did the trick but it was tricky at times and made things more confusing at certain points. I really hated it and thought it was stupid that Toyota would use this kind of technology over Google which is used in the newer models of cars coming out..and this camry is a 2018!!! have android auto in my Malibu which has google voice and it is so simple and easy to use. Getting into this camry in comparison..the technology is horrible and I just wasnt really impressed with the interior design. For someone not tech savvy, I'm sure the setup will be a big nightmare as it took me over half an hour to figure it out..more like 45 minutes or so. Don't suffer buyers remorse- if modern technology on a touchscreen is important to you, you'll find yourself disappointed. As for the performance, I enjoyed the handling of the car overall, except for the noticeable noise from the road. But I sure will be glad to leave this at the rental office and I feel sorry for anyone who considers buying it..recommend you choose a different vehicle and leave this camry in the stone age!

Bought car with 10000 miles on it. I've put 11000 since having it. Average around 38 to 40 mpg. It drives and rides great. But there's a lot of road noise. And the radar cruise control I think is dangerous. Had it set for furthest distance between cars and another car passed me and pulled in between my car and the car ahead and car applied the brakes hard and almost got rear ended. Now I bypass the radar when turning on cruise. But overall I enjoy driving this car and love the gas mileage

This by far is the WORST CAR ive ever owned, this is my 4th Camry,I should have never traded my 2017 previous generation for this JUNK,from the first week I owned it,the transmission has been a nightmare, press the gas car does not move, and then it takes off,Air conditioner takes over 3 minutes after turning it on for the computer to start it cooling, and the worst part,if you dont buy a higher trim, you GET NO HEATED MIRRORS,ive had heated mirrors in every camry ive owned, and to think Toyota is so big on safety with all this tech junk, and you end up DYING cause of wet or snow covered exterior mirrors,I got so frustrated after 15 months,i called the finance company to come pick it up,I AINT PAYING 30 grand for this heap of crap,im driving my 99 4Runner with 300,000 miles, and it actually drives better at 20 years old then this new camry ever did THIS CAR IS UNSAFE,id rather have a default on my credit then DIE in this car,and I have a friend who has one,and the engine has overheated twice, the "Electronic" Water Pump is a new unreliable technology, not to mention massive coolant leaks since they have owned theirs AVOID A CAMRY at all costs, the Quality that was once a camry tradition DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE

A lot of people complain of Toyota's lack of apple car play or android auto, personally I could care less as I purchase a car not based on entertainment, but reliability. If it was that serious I would buy an aftermarket system with those features. My 2018 4cyl se is faster than my previous 2015 se. The punch it gives is well needed in my daily commute due to poorly constructed ramps on the interstate. I am still a bit skeptical on this new revamped engine but so far with almost 6000 miles on it shows no problems shifting. I do miss the storage space in the previous model and this one only comes with one 12volt. I also fill up the gas tank less than the previous model. Overall it's a fun car to drive, I'm a mother of one toddler not restricted to the soccer mom look

I have the SE model with the upgraded package. Great car! Still getting compliments on it and it's been almost a year since purchase. I hate the Scout gps navigation app system and I miss having fog lamps and a CD player. Other than that ... no real complaints so far. It drives great. Part of me wishes I got the XSE model but I saved 5k on my SE so hey.

Fast car...use Normal setting...you will get good gas mileage...I have driven this car fresh off the lot for 10 months. Average 28 mpg. Fun to drive...if you want a fast sedan this is it. If you use the sport setting you will get performance you will not believe...but...mpg suffers. So I use normal most of the time and the performance is great.

While I agree the infotainment is terrible on the 2018 Camry. The entune also has a weak radio signal. Most of the radio channels drops while driving. This does not happen in any other car I have owned, including my prius.

Toyota doesn't care

Just don't buy a 2018 and do your own test drives and checks on any following. The dealerships will not help you, complaining to Toyota and the dealership is a very aggravating process because both sides act like they've heard no complaints at all whatsoever and want you to prove that something is actually wrong. I've had issues with a jerky transmission, hesitant acceleration, the entune system sucks and the pre collision system has activated several times by itself for no reason almost causing me to almost get hit by other vehicles. I went from an 08 Camry to a 17 then the 2018 and I wish I would've stayed with my 17. Even tried trading the car in but they said I owe too much (DUH) and that I would have to out down a down payment even with the issues I stated. The ignorance of them is sad because they care more about their dollars than assuring people are happy and safe in their vehicles.

You would think that when you buy a "New Toyota Camry SE"....Loaded with some options....that it would be a "Standard Feature" to have outside mirror defrost...I was told by the GM that heated mirrors are an option to ask for??? Seriously?? I called and talked to GM at Performance Toyota in Fairfield Ohio (Andy) and asked him why I wasn't told about this and he pretty much told me sorry bout your Bad Luck...we can't fix that and told me to use "Rain-x". Now I'm stuck with a car that shifts rough...audio system is Crap for? I will never buy a Toyota at Performance in Fairfield EVER!! Toyota has lost that "Personal Touch" that I "ALWAYS" sold to my friends and Family who were GM Employees. I have never purchased a GM Car through them using Employee Discount......I've always chose Toyota. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Historically I have been a VW/Audi guy. I tend to buy something different every other car purchase. I was looking at Subaru, BMW, Audi S, and even Dodge, really any sedan with 300+ HP. I finally went with the Camry. This car checked all my boxes. It looks great, has 301 HP, huge trunk, and so much technology this thing can practically drive itself. The metallic blue color is striking and I've had quite a few compliments on the car. With all the pluses combined with the price, it was a deal I couldn't really pass up. Where did it come up short? Well, it certainly doesn't handle like a German car but it is smooth on the highway. There is some road feedback (in sport mode) but it is only moderate and kind of numb. Throttle response (in sport mode) is very good but combined with numb steering, the whole car feels loose and has noticeable torque steer. You can push it just enough to be fun on back roads but you lose confidence at the limits (I'm talking 20mph over the speed limit on a twisty back road). For daily driving I find it peppy and comfortable. The 8 speed transmission is hit and miss. It's been in the single digits in the mornings lately and I noticed some hard shifting in standard mode that goes away as the engine temp rises or if you shift into sport mode. Sometimes it has a hard time finding the gear it wants to be in and has a noticeable lag in acceleration from stop every now and then (almost like turbo lag but there is no turbo on this car). I have a few more miles on the car now and the transmission is starting to annoy me. I don't really use the infotainment system since it sucks. I use Waze which isn't supported. Entune connects from my phone via bluetooth as soon as I start the car but the app is useless. I use the radio and hands free calling features only. My wife complains of an echo when I use hands free (iPhone 6). I've never had an infotainment system that I've liked so I don't exactly feel like I'm missing out.

Super MPG and head unit better than you think.

The 2018 XLE is rated at 39mpg highway but I am consistently getting over 43mpg. As for the head unit, it does not require that you plug in your phone to use GPS like Android Auto. The Scout GPS app works over a Bluetooth wireless connection for Turn-by-Turn nav and voice directions (this is all I ever need). Toyota does need to improve/update the maps to make them better. The directions can get a bit off at the end of trip when you are going to less popular destinations making it less reliable than Google maps, etc.

I test drove multiple models. The 4 cylinder was a bit weak. Tested out two V6’s, and ended up buying a V6 XSE. Sports mode is a blast, and is great for getting up to speed on the highway. I’ve found sports mode only sacrifices about 2mpg compared to normal mode, and about 4mpg to eco mode. Entune 3.0 isn’t great, it loses connection over Bluetooth for a few seconds then comes back, which is annoying. I’ve seen others complain about the safety features being too sensitive... Factory settings for safety features are set to sensitive, but it is really easy to adjust or turn off if you really don’t want them. Overall, great car! Really hope it proves to be as reliable as the previous years!

I came out of a 2014 BMW 528i lease. The 2018 Camry SE does almost everything the BMW did except its half the price. I wish it had things are: CD Player....(I know its fashionable to use their ENTUNE...but that is designed for Apple People, not me.) I have a collection of 300 CDS which I like to play...my wife gets books (audio) from the library....so we miss the CD PLAYER....Also....can't get GPS in the SE....too bad..have to use my $99. one.... (plug in).... also....the 8 speed transmission kind of can't figure it out sometimes... also... its a bit noisy on high torque.... otherwise... Its a very good car for the money ... looks good...rides good...economical. Most of my driving is short trips within 12 miles or so so showing 27.5 miles per gallon for this is accurate. I did take a long trip from Boca Raton to Key West which average 39 mpg. The transmission is a little finicky, but on long trips staying in 8th gear pays dividends. Also using only regular gas instead of premium in the overrated BMW. NOW TRADED FOR 2020 Subaru Outback Limited...got a great trade in for the Camry...was a great car but needed cargo room.

I looked at 5 different dealers before making my lease purchase. Arlington Toyota was outstanding. The drivers seat fits me like a glove and is very comfortable. I had Corvettes abd Mustangs in my youth so I enjoy engine sound. The car handles great and even warns me if I get too close to the lane divider. So far I am a very happy purchaser. RB35

This is our 3rd Camry since the mid-1990's. Our first on gave us good service until we replaced it due to high mileage (180,000+ miles) and age in 2011. We have the 2018, because the 2011 was in a major accident (highly applaud design that crunched the whole front end but left the car from the dash back in mint condition). We have been impressed with the 2018's improved gas mileage and safety features of blind spot monitoring, back up camera, rear cross traffic and perhaps the most helpful on a recent long car trip has been the cruise control that adjusts itself to maintain a safe following distance from cars in front of you. As with most of the 2018's we test drove, this car's biggest negative is the front seats. Both my husband and I need to use extra cushions to make it possible to drive the cars without experiencing back pain. (We have no health issues and are reasonably fit and attempt to use good posture as much as possible. At least for us, it's the design of the seats that seems to be the issue. ) We have not used the scout navigation or any of the other entune services and don't plan to so, I can't comment on them.

I have owned my 2018 Camry for about 18 months now. I put a lot of highway miles on the vehicle, currently about 50,000. In the 18 months that I have owned it, it has been in the shop for three repairs (two small one major). First, the air condition stopped working and had to be replaced under warranty. Second, the change holder broke and was once again replaced under warranty. Third, the intermediate steering shaft was binding and had to be replaced and I was out of warranty the repair cost me $700. I am no longer purchasing any Toyota’s after this experience. This car is garbage in terms of reliability.

The new 4 cyl engines gets great gas mileage, and the new wishbone rear suspension gives it a superb handling experience. The interior is roomy and comfortable with large trunk space. Very Bad Test Drive

Test drove the 2018 Camry XLE this past Saturday. Salesperson didn't want me to take it on the highway, so that got my attention. Said to salesperson that I need to take it on the highway, he says okay. Overall, when the test drive was done, I was not impressed and actually kinda leary. So held off buying. So, then on Monday after the tests drive: I look at the internet found 2 recalls on the 2018 Camry and read in depth and that's exactly how the ride felt while on the test drive so makes me wonder if this car had it's recalled work done. The recalls are on the transmission and the way this car drove in the test drive felt like it should've been included in that recall. Do all your homework on a car and sleep on it before committing to a purchase especially if the test drive is off or bad.

Just finished 1200 mile highway trip and this V6 is amazing. Lots of power and we saw 34.4 overall. Many, many folks have commented on how good looking it is, “can’t be a Camry”. Love the interior and glad Toyota resisted sticking the info screen up in the air like some last minute add on. Many others have even reduced their gas tanks and then talk about how big their trunk is, i.e. Accord. My two tone paint (white with black top) is striking and love the wheels. I traded in my Lexus on this car and couldn’t be happier. I had much trouble finding this car as the XSE must be selling more than Toyota thought and kept being told they were being sold from production line. Could not find the car in Florida and found it in St. Louis. Two years later, all is still fun. My brother has since bought a Camry and a friend did as well. So glad Toyota went with six cylinder over a turbo four. This engine is so smooth and quiet. I also bought a 2019 Camry XLE, so I now have two Camrys. The four cylinder in that car gets 38 mpg. Both cars have all the new safety features and I plan to keep the Camrys for a long time.

I will be test driving the 2018 Camry XLE (4cy & V6). I really value Edmunds reviews. However, I'm noticing that they (as well as other car reviewers) are NOT giving us any valuable information when it comes to Audio Systems in these vehicles. Back in the 70's, 80's, & '90's that was not much of a concern because most manufacturers didn't use high end stereo systems in their vehicles, and most of us bought what we could afford then headed to the best Car Stereo Shop in town for an upgrade. With these new cars and all their computerized parts that are so well enter connected, one would fear taking it some place for a stereo upgrade for fear of something getting screwed up and our brand new vehicle no longer working as it should. Therefore, as companies seem to be working at improving their car's sound systems some of us would like to know just how good they are....or are not. I'm looking forward to test driving the new Camrys. One other thing I hope and that is that they don't have that Sportback slanted look that the new Accord has.

The 2018 Camry LE is an attractive vehicle in many ways. BUT, accelerate and the noise is extremely loud. While cruising, the transmission is erratic (shifts constantly) and disconcerting. Based on much research, I really thought I had found my new car until I took a test drive. Toyota needs to soundproof the engine compartment and consider a CVT. I rated the Camry a 3 out of 5 and based on engine noise and the poor transmission it was closer to a 2+.

I bought a Toyota Camry 2018 XSE on March 31, 2018 and trading off my old Toyota Camry 2016 XSE. As per the Toyota Commercial, the new Camry has 28 Miles/Gallon in Local street and 39 miles/Gallon in the Highway but I never get that Millage in my new Toyota Camry. It's average 23.5 to 23.6 for me, always. I've tracked my millage with AC/Heater or Without AC/Heater, I never got the expected millage not even close to the expectation. This is not something what US Customers allow. I'm thinking to take a legal action for this false advertisement. This needs to stop in US.

The 2018 Camry XSE is a terrific auto, with a great ride and an impressive array of active-safety features, including automatic rear braking, which saved me from a collision in a parking lot.

I was disappointed in the ride and upgrades. I had heard many good things about the changes for the 2018 Camry. I was not impressed.
