#1
We brought the 4runner because of its looks, reliablity, and value after used, we are pleased. Its performance in passing slow cars on two lane roads is great. Its good to know you can get through any kind of snow or slippery condition if you need too also. It has a comfortable ride.
Rusted frame
I loved my 4Runner! But after 14yrs the frame rusted out and I couldn’t sale it or drive it safely. I also have a 1995 Corolla that I still drive with no rust issues. Both were driven in the same weather conditions. Very upsetting

Best SUV you can buy.
Best SUV, really dependable, the V8 is were its at. Since its a toyota.... you won't need to replace alot of things till 200,000 miles.
would definitely buy another one.
I bought this vehicle because of Toyota's legendary reliability. I drive 35,000 miles per year and don't need a vehicle I can't depend on. An added bonus was the vehicles 4 wheel drive capabilities. It will go almost anywhere.
Not happy with my 4 runner.
Mechanical performance of the car is ok but the interior electronic controls are not user friendly. Air conditioning system went out prematurely and cost about $1800 to repair. Rear hatch is electronically controlled, and the electronic controls failed. Could not open rear hatch & took several days at dealership to resolve. Cost about $600 to repair just so we could open the rear hatch. Air pressure warning light comes on and takes and act of congress to get it turned off. Finally just stays on all the time and we are told the sensors will have to be replaced. Very frustrating and very expensive electronic issues.
