I test drive my 2000 Saturn LS2 against a 2000 Nissan Altima, 2000 Olds Alero, and a 2000 Olds Intrique. The Saturn was clearly the better car. It was quicker, handled better, and has a tight ride (euro-tuned suspension). Also, the interior appointments surprisingly felt and looked much more upscale than in the Altima and both Old's. Did I mention the HUGE trunk! I bought the car right there and then. Great car!

After replacing an engine at 32,000 miles, and so many other problems to numerous to mention here I have to say this is the worse car I have ever owned. I bought it new in November of 1999 and have had problems from day one. Most never fixed correctly. Thinking I was the only one with problems I started talking to other L series owners and found I am far from alone. From engine to transmission replacements, this car is truly a piece of junk. The company has the worst service I have ever seen and forget about trying to get any help from local dealer or corporate management. I am totally disgusted and disappointed with Saturn as a whole.

This 2000 LS Saturn has serious problems with the timing chain. Run as fast as you can from this car. Because of Saturns zero tolerance engine, once the timing chain breaks - and it will, be prepared to spend at least $4,000. Saturn will NOT help with repairs. Please read the recall investigations about this car. Only recommend this car to your worst enemy.

This is my wife's car and she is 100% satisfied with it. The only thing that has been replaced is the liner under the hood about four months ago. Of course it has been tuned up, had tires and battery replaced and one taillight last year. Everything still works fine including the sound system, air conditioner and power windows. It has always been serviced by the dealer. It has always been garaged and it still looks new.
