Used 2003 Saturn ION Consumer Reviews
1st Saturn purchase
I absolutely love my car. It is fun to drive. It gets noticed. Everyone has a comment about its unique styling, i.e. center mounted cluster bezel. My mom bought one within weeks of my purchase. However, be mindful of purchasing this car if you have children-especially big ones. I have 3. I can only transport two in the rear seat in car seats. With car seats in place, I cannot fit a 3rd person, even a small one in the rear seat. Although I've got my sites on buying an SUV in the near future since I'm doing most of the family transporting, I hope to hang on to this car as my "fun car".
Just Bought-- Phooey on the Editors!
I just purchased my new Black, Ion 3. Honestly, it's a car to like, not to love, but it's a car to like a lot. You're unlikely to name this car, or get a gooey feeling in the pit of your stomach when you see it, but it will get you from point a to point b, not break the bank, and be reasonably fun, too. The great financial incentives got me -- I was able to qualify for a student discount (including 90 day payment deferral), 0% financing for 60 months and $1000 "down payment assistance". It's a fun to drive, slightly unique looking, and good for people like me owning their first car.

Super vehicle. Great gauges. Very smooth quiet and poweful engine. The vehicle feels extremely solid and I love the looks!
Great Car for the $$$
You certainly can't ask for BMW performance in this price range, but for under $15,000 this car is great! More than adequate power, gas mileage, and comfort. Center console doesn't take much time to get used to. Only complaint is the electronic power steering is a little loose and is hard to keep going straight without constant adjustments.
Saturns are out of this world!
I LOVE IT - 'nuff said
