Poor quality

The poor quality has me looking to dump it. With 35k family / street miles and keep in a garage, the transmission is already slipping in all gears, the rear hatch rattles and has rubbed the paint off, oxygen sensor has been replaces 3 times and the side molding is coming off. This vehicle will be nothing but problem into the future.

I had similar issues with it as was repeatedly stated here but have always found a way to get it fixed without spending a lot. Exhaust broke at the flange after just 4 years -- had a new linking pipe welded in for $40. Heat shields around piping rusted off and rattled--ripped them off or clamped tight. Check eng light with inconclusive msgs, O2 or cat conv, after 1 yr engine started knocking and car would hiccup. It was a faulty Mass airflow sensor. I diagnosed it myself with help from a repair manual and an oscilloscope. New one would cost $500, but got a Maxima 3 L for $110, snap in replacement. Need new struts ~$800 - first repair ovr $270(break pds). Rusty side steps/bars are an eye sore.

First time buying a foreign make. Father GM retiree; GM a major account of mine. You would think I would be compelled to purchase under the GM badge or at least remain loyal to the domestics. Plenty of research, discussions and test drives combined with the bitter taste of recent thousand dollar plus visits to GM service centers 'drove' me to explore options. Trailblazer got high marks - nice going GM. Our Pathfinder has been the reward and compensation we had hoped for. A great all-around vehicle. Like your favorite, cozy chair - always familiar and welcoming. Now in the market for another vehicle... HEY BIG THREE!! What do you got to sway me ??

I love this vehicle. It's a blast to drive everyday. It will get up and go when you want it to but is also a nice ride when you're taking it easy. I've been impressed with the power and like the smaller size for getting in and out of tight spaces around town. It's also performed well in rough weather. I've towed a number of trailers with it and it will maintain 75 mph on the highway while towing a good load. What can I say, It's great!
