Desparately Wanting to Love My Car

I want to like this car because it is so much fun to drive. I purchased this car new with 9 miles on it. It has 17k miles now and the following repairs have already had to be made to this car: air conditioning, struts, and all the parts in the sunroof with the exception of the glass. We have had it in the shop 9 times now and have been told all are manufacturers defects. The worst part about it is that we are so tired of having an unreliable car that we decided to sell it... the resale value is HORRIBLE. So, I guess we are just stuck with a lemon. I really like Nissan's styling on all their cars... but their reliability isn't proving to be so great.

Peeling grill, oil leaking

I bought this car brand new and I loved it for the first 2 years. Then.. The main problems I have are the grill peels, I have replaced the brakes and pads several times and it still shimmys at high speeds, and I have oil leak. I have changed the oil every 2000 miles and I treat it like my baby. Unfortunately the CD player stopped working and the CD is stuck. The sun roof won't open and last but not least the car is very difficult to turn without going back and forth a few times. The heating system is terrible. It is near impossible to get it to defrost if it is humid out. This car has always been in the garage too.

I bought my 2004 Maxima 3.5 SL brand new and I maintain it religiously. I owned a 1997 and that was one of the best cars I ever owned. This is probably the worst car I ever owned. Two recalls, the transmission went 100 miles before the warranty expired. Front grille replaced 3 times because of peeling. Brake problems. Had all the documentation and got zero satisfaction from Nissan. Latest - ABS problem, rear bearings, etc. All expensive repairs. Wrote a letter to the President of Nissan - no response. I will never ever ever buy another Nissan product.

The car is fun to drive. Plenty of power and looks great. However, within the first month the driver side door handle broke. I had to take it back because the vent in the back seat area poors cold air on to the passengers feet regardless of the setting up front. The technician chalked this up to "poor design" -- to much distance the air has to travel in the duct work. The center console is poorly designed. Awkward buttons and settings. The trip computer doesn't tell me how many miles I have in my tank when it hits the "e" mark. Isn't that when you really want to know? Overall, I am pretty unhappy with the car. I expected more from Nissan at this price.
