Used 2004 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SL 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
Great looks. Fun to drive.
After years of buying Toyota Camrys, I switched to the Nissan Maxima this year because of its much sharper styling and quality features -- such as the DVD Navigation System -- not available in the Camry. The car is solid, quiet, quick, fun to drive, and looks great.
Good but not great
This vehicle is probably a great car for a young adult, but for a middle aged person it is not smooth enough over rough roads. I can't wait to return to the luxury class I got used to. I am willing to give up the performance for the smooth ride.

Nice car
I have been a Camry owner for the last 20 years. But I liked the luxury and handling of the Maxima and the price was right. It is my first real luxury car and I love all the bells and whistles. It is a pleasure to drive. The downers are very wide turning radius, back window is small and slanted reducing visibility and glare from dashboard on front windshield is distracting.
My Maxie
This is the first Nissan I've owned and let me tell you...I love it!!! The 2004 Maxima is beautiful and fun to drive. I'm especially enjoying the Navagational system. I highly recommend this wonderful car with its sleek curves and luxuious interior, to anyone desiring a classy vehicle that is fun to drive.
2004 Maxima
Purchased 4/18,have driven it to Glacier Park and back and around home area. The most comfortable car I've ever driven; very smooth the ride. On Glacier trip the car drove itself.Did return trip to in 2 1/2 days;second day over 600 miles was a breeze. Only problems I had are: getting used to fact it is wider than previous car and being careful not to oversteer on curves. Other than that, no problems so far. Great looking car,for an over 60 it doesn't look like an old lady's car. 12 year old "grand" cousin calls it a cool car.
